please tell me this is normal.. feel like i literally can’t breath, just put on my asda post op bra which is more comfy but it’s not as supportive as my macom.

In the mornings i’m fine when i’ve been in bed all night but after lunch the tightness comes on and it’s sooo painful! i’m back on the tramadol now to knock me out but can anyone tell me what to do for the best, the nurse says theres nothing she can do to help me :-( xx

I had a few days of real tightness too, it just gets easier day by day. It’s actually better if you get up and move around a bit. Although I was (still am), a wimp, and tend to hunch my shoulders forward. Take an anti-inflammatory med like neurofen or ibuprofen.. they really help x

Aw hun, feel so bad for you :(

Keep on top of your meds – you’re only a week post op, you’ve had a bigger procedure than a straighforward BA.

Failing that – can you mix alcohol with the meds? Haha only kidding xxx

Thx newboobies, i’m up and about loads so don’t think it’s that. i’m on dyclafenac anti inflamms but just had stopped the painkillers, just want to cry.. and have been on and off all day :-(

Hubby telling me to pull myself together like it’s that easy!

Oh hunni… Take your pain meds!! It’s what they are for! It’s just your body getting use to the new extras!

    Big hugs!!!! x x

thanks chezzies, I was so teary i got into bed and just fell asleep which has done me alot of good, had about 2 hours. I’ve booked an appt with the GP tomoro morning to get more tramadol so that i can stay on it all of next week. My hubby saw how upset i was and pulled into Mcdonalds drive through and got me a chocolate milkshake, it has actually given me a warm buzz and has made me feel nice so i’m in bed with my beloved v pillow and 6 pillows having a rest :-)

I know, i’m a right dick head! i’m in no pain now i’ve stayed in bed, i’ve taken my bra off and just let them rest and let the drugs kick in, the tightness has totally worn off AHHHHH!! xx

My mum did exactly the same thought oh im fine and didnt take her meds when she was supposed to and spread them out etc and she was in agony and definitely had the blues in tears every 5 mins (was a nightmare lol) so your body is telling you to do what it needs you to, so the only thing you should listen to hun is your own body keep on top of those meds!!! xxx

I will, i’ve been well and truly told by everyone at home and on the forum now 😳

I think i’m superwoman sometimes! I just said to my hubby, ok i back down, i’m going to totally relax for the next week and do nothing, and he’s like “at f*cking last!, what on earth made you think that you’d be doing anything after having your boobs chopped up!?” when he puts it that way!! xxx
