    I girls

I am 5 days post op, and my left breast is much larger and firmer than the other. it doesn’t ‘hurt’, just tight and uncomfortable…

Has any one else had one boob bigger than the other post op? Is it normal? Will they even up?

Any comments or feedback most welcome

    Thanks xXx

HI forestbabe – I would say it is definately normal – everyone seems to say that one is healing at a different rate to the other. My left is settling quicker than my right but at 15 days post op the right is definately starting to move now xx

    Hi jj and chrissyp,

That is a relief to hear! I feel as if my left on is a balloon and my right one is ‘normal’… it’s been freaking me out this afternoon. Especially as it feels so much more tight than the right- I was beginning to worry that I might have internal bleeding.

So they will even out… phew!

Feeling very lost and spaced out today.

    Thank you for your messages

Hi girls I’m only 1 wk today post op and feel my left boob drop. Thought this shouldn’t happen for wks am worried now that I’ve done sumthing and it’s fallen out of pocket or sumthing. Lol I know I’m a headcase don’t get to see nurse till Friday also wired feeling like a loose not so tight feeling and a wee sharp pain now again with couple of stringy sensation.

    Menu

I am getting the little sharp pains too- in my left boob, and I feel like the implant could fall out of the bottom if i were to stand up too straight.

Yet my right one seems to be coming down a bit already and isn’t swollen like the left.

ddgirl… hopefully we’ll hear from all the other girls and they’ll say that they’ve been through similar experiences! -Hope you are ok. Hug.

Hi girls. My left is definitely more swollen than the right. My pc called me today and said that they would heal at different times. I saw the nurse today and she was happy with the way everything looked. Forestbabe are u sleeping upright? Also I was told to put frozen peas on my boob to help with swelling this evening. I’m also going to have a glass of wine tonight cos I need to relax and not taking antibiotics anymore. Xxx

Yeah me too forestbabe! I think it must be normal then for them to heal at different rates! Hopefully in a few weeks they’ll be looking perfect! 

Hi forestbabe I noticed my left boob was bigger than the right 6 days post op. I’m now 18 days post op now and they are definitely looking more even! I spoke to my nurse and she said this is very common and nothing to worry about xx

    Hi Mill

Thanks for the reassurance. It’s hard to know what’s normal and what’s not when your on your own and used to seeing two (little) boobs that look the same!

As well as being bigger- the left on is also very tight/ sensitive, but the right isn’t.. did you find this too?

It probably doesn’t help that I’ve ordered 3 sizes of Macom bra and not one fits me properly! I’m having to make do with the Small size, but can only do up the bottom two hooks. The Medium size is far too big though.

Also, one nipple is pointing down and one is point straight ahead… has any one else experienced this? will this even up?

They say you should treat both boobs as two completely different operations and they don’t always settle at the same times xx

    Menu

hi girls – forestbabe – straight after surgery i noticed my right boob had more of an achey/tight feeling & had sensation in my nipple – whereas my left boob seems higher & bigger – and still a bit ‘numb’ no sensation in my nipple – hope it comes back soon!!

My right boob also looks a bit smaller than my left…. i’m 2 days post op… so know i’ve got a few weeks yet for them to hopefully settle and even out!

it is hard coz u dont know whats normal or not! thank god for this forum and all u girlys :) xxx

Thanks guys. I’m not alone then… that’s comforting.

Hope every one is healing up well.
