I’m one week post op today! Still very sore and swollen and finding it hard to move my left arm without getting a horrible twinge all the way through it. I’m booked in to get my bandage things off my stitches (like a small strip over the stitching) and I can’t make it as I’m too sore to go alone and travel on trains I’m worried I’ll get bumped into so I cancelled my appointment so can I take the strips off myself? Has anyone else taken them off after a week themselves? I don’t want to keep them on any longer. Please help girlies as I’m not getting any response from mya it’s very frustrating. Xxx

I struggled the first week or so so I feel your pain, I’m three weeks post op today and feel a lot better. I wouldn’t take the strips off yourself as even though it’s a simple thing (took my nurse literally ten seconds) I’d say it has to be done by the professional as 1 they have a knack and if there was a problem it would be dealt with and 2 I think it might affect your aftercare, can you not get a lift there Hun? I had to as at that point I couldn’t even lift my arms properly xx

They look fab already! Maybe you could get to your nearest 24 hours/ out of hours and have a nurse there take them off! Hope you feel better soon x
