op 2mrw but told it could be cancelled due to sore throat!!!! anyone help?? xx

hey girls iv got my ba 2mrw but had a sore throat since thurs just my luck apart from my throat im well, no temperature or anything. i rang the hospital this morn to tell them and the nurse said there is a chance my op will be postponed, she said its down to the anesthatist and it its really red he wont go ahead!!!! i’ll be gutted if it ahs to be postponed has any of you girls had your op postponed for the same reason? or have you had a sore throat and they have still gone ahead? im really stressing about it now xxx

Hi bek10 my op is weds mine may have to b postpone had a chest infection bin on 2 lots of antibiotics, and still has cleared also when I take deep breathes or cough got a sharp pain, I’m so frustrated as feel completely fine in myself and been lookin forward to this day for a long time just by luck all I want is the pain to go away x

Hey hun this may not really be relevant i hd a ba in 2005 had a really sore throat was abit naughty and didnt mention it to them hoping it would get better it still felt sore on the day but i went anyway and they didnt say anything i was only 18 at the time so probably a bit silly not telling them. Im having a re aug on wednesday i hope all goes well for u hun x x

I’m havin re aug aswell mate. Haven’t cancelled yours then? I got to make an appt with my gp 2moro see what he says if gives me another lot of antibiotics then will have to have it done another day x

Hey girls, as far as i know u shudnt really have an operation with a sore throat since it could develop into somthin worse afterwards and make recovery worse. Ive got an awful sore throat, red raw, and i doubt my op would have gone ahead due to that today if it hadnt already been canceled. Hope you get sorted though, good luck xx

That’s the annoying think I haven’t got a sore throat or nothing wrong with my throat what so ever just got a sharp pain under my boob feels as if in my lung x
