    Hiii

Had my op yesterday, 375cc High Profile Partials with my surgeon at MYA Fitzroy.

My Check in time was 7:30, got there a bit early and waited for a little bit in reception, and then a nurse came and took me to my room. My room only had one bed in, so I had it to myself. I had my mum with me, she drove me in. I had to wake up at 4:50am, leave the house 5:30am!! So I was really tired and hungry, but very excited!! I took the pregnancy test, then I put my hospital gown on, compression socks, sexy paper knickers and slippers on and got into bed. My nurse then left and a new one came in, both were really nice and friendly! I signed my permission papers, etc, they ran through my allergies etc, then they left. I was waiting for a little while and then my anaesthetist came in to say hi and to go through my allergies again, I had no questions, so he left. He was really nice too.

I asked my nurse for some numbing cream for the backs of my hands before I have my cannula in – they said yes, and my nurse put it on and I had that on for a few hours before I went down to theatre. My mum kept crying lol and telling me I didn’t have to go through with it! I was like “mum I want this!” lol. Then my surgeon came in, drew on me. He then said to me “have your boobs changed at all? Because today one looks bigger, so I might put 350 in one and 375 in the other” and I was like “nooo pls don’t, are you sure it’s not just my shoulders being uneven?” so he got me to raise my arms right up, then drop them and then he said “ah ok i’ll put 375cc in both, as the difference is very very small and can depend on your menstrual cycle” so I was relieved about that. He drew on me, and then left. He was really nice to me as well, on the day of my surgeon consultation he was very brief, but on the day he was so friendly, so that put me at ease.

Then it was just a waiting game, as I was third on the list and so my surgery was about noon. I was starting to get really bored, very very hungry and very very nervous and slightly emotional, so my mum and I played I Spy, but we ran out of things to say lol. Then before I knew it, the nurses came in to take me down to theatre and I was so nervous now I kept tearing up! My mum nearly cried too, hugging me. Then I walked down to surgery.

I waited in a small room until they prepared the main op room. Then the surgical assistant came in, who was lovely, and talked to me, telling me not to worry etc, cheering me up as I was pretty terrified. Then shortly after, I was taken into the room. I layed down on the actual surgical bed and the assistant/nurse (not sure what title to use lol) took my blood pressure, while the anaesthetist on the other side put my cannula in. I’m not sure whether it was the numbing cream (as I’ve had an op before but also had numbing cream then) but I hardly felt a thing – just coldness. He and the assistant were talking to me the whole time, asking about my degree etc, being really friendly. They asked about how old my sister was, and I was just about to answer, I had no idea they’d put the anaesthetic in, and I just had time to say “25” before I was out!

Next thing I know, I was waking up and being wheeled back to my room. I know a lot of people get giggly after surgery, but I was really really emotional, crying a lot, very confused and shivering a lot. It didn’t help that my mum wasn’t in my room when I returned because they say that waiting visitors have to wait in reception. So it took them a while to get my mum back up. I was very tired and drifting in and out of sleep for the next hour or so, and I kept crying. Not much pain, but just very emotional for absolutely no reason whatsoever! lol! they must’ve thought I was such a cry baby lol! I cried like all day! My strapping was very very tight though, I couldn’t breathe very deeply and still can’t now. I never expected it to be THAT tight. It honestly feels like a fat fat fat man is sitting on you! haha!

Then my dad came, as he’d been at meetings in London, and so it was really nice to have both parents staying with me. I woke up a bit more, and could hardly move my arms at all, couldn’t even lift them to scratch any itches lol!

My dad had gone to John Lewis on the way, and he got me a V Pillow and bought some food too. I was drinking as much water as I could too. My mum went for a walk and went to get more food. I then had my toast and tea, which was nice but I had to eat it really slowly as after the first few mouthfuls of water, I threw up. After I threw up, I felt tons better. I then finished my toast and felt OK.

After napping on and off for a few hours, and the nurse came in regularly to check on me, they removed my drains. This was the weirdest experience ever! Not painful, just very uncomfortable. I didn’t realise that the drains were so deep in my boobs, so pulling them out took a few tugs and it felt like a long snake being pulled out of my whole boob!! Very strange. He told me to take lots of really deep breaths, as it loosens my chest so pulling the drains out is easier. They were soon out, and he put the strapping back on, which was also very tight. Then, after napping for a bit more, the nurse came in again because she wanted me to get up and pee. I wasn’t in much pain until that point…

Holy mother of f*ck, standing up was the most pain I’ve ever felt lol! I burst into tears, it felt like something was pulling my boobs in all different angles, so so so tightly, and was very hard to move. The nurse was really nice though. I lost all my dignity though lol, as she had to pull down my knickers and then pull them up, and I couldn’t wipe myself either!! I went back to bed, and as soon as she was out of the room I burst into tears again hahaha, such a cry baby! As soon as I was sat down, the pain went away again, so that was OK.

I got really hot quickly, and really cold quickly too, so that was weird but normal, I think. Then after a few more hours of talking to my parents and napping, the nurse told me I could, when I felt like it, put my bra on and go home. This was about 5:30/6pm. I still felt rather dizzy, so I had another nap for a while then woke up again. I put my bra on my arms with a bit of difficulty, but I needed the nurse to do it up for me. I had the Macom bra, size 32, so that stretched fine.

I then got up slowly to leave. As soon as I got up, I was convived that I was going to be sick and pass out, so they gave me a paper sick bowl thingy, and I was walking really slowly down to reception, I was sweating hot, even though i was wearing a vest top, and I had to sit down in reception to be sick again. As soon as I was sick, the sickness stopped, and just felt very hot and wobbly. My mum went to get the car and my dad stayed with me giving me sips of water etc, and I got in the car to come home. The journey was about an hour and ten mins, so I slept for a lot in the car. I also put my V pillow in fromt of my boobs to protect them from the seatbelt.

I had just taken my pain meds, so the bumps in the road didn’t hurt much at all. I got home and went straight to sleep. I was fairly comfy, and only woke once in the night. It’s the next day now and I’m very tight, I also need a lot of help moving and getting up, but the pain isn’t bad at all when I’m sitting, just when I stand up and move. I can hardly move my arms either, but I’m OK.

This was the best thing I’ve ever done, and I’m so so so happy I did it – worth every bit of pain as they look amazing, even through the stapping! I’ve got cleavage and they look big!! Can’t stop looking at them! Still need help wiping though, and mum has to do it for me lol!!

I had my op with Samantha and Yasmin, and it was lovely to be able to talk to them throughout the day and keep each other updated – thank god for this forum. It was also lovely cause when I got back to my room, the nurse told me Samantha was asking after me, so that was nice as I was very tearful lol.

Anyway, sorry for the long story, I just remember loving reading other peoples’ so I thought I’d do the same.

Here are some pics. Also, if anyone read this and it made them worry, I promise you, you should definitely go through with having a boob job – best thing I’ve ever done!!

    Hi Janelle!

Yeah, I totally understand the fear of the pain. I’ve had 375cc high profile partials, and started as a tiny 32a without a bra, I want a DD result. I’d say that the pain though it can sometimes be bad, is manageable, and so so worth it. I’m a huge huge cry baby and also a wimp and I was ok until I stood up, so I really really honestly think you’re going to be ok! If you have any more questions, feel free to message me or something but you’ll be fine! Good luck with it – the days will fly by. Plus, I’ve found the painkillers to be really good at getting rid of the pain. Most of the time it only feels like I’ve just had an intense work out and my muscles are sore after xx

Sorry to hear about your sickness- horrible isn’t it? I felt so sick this morning after my antibiotics!! Let me know how you get on. I’m hoping all this will get better soon cause its driving me mad!! I can never get comfy either!! xxx

Hi Harriet!! How are you feeling now? Had mine done yesterday and I reacted the same when I came
Around!! I cried for hours and was freezing cold and shivering and I’d never felt pain like it, even the needle in my hand was sore. I was sick so that was a plus. How’s things now a few days after?! I’m just getting worried about how long this pain is going to take to ease up xxx

Hi Megan! I’m good thanks – how are you? Thanks for the message, been feeling rough tbh, very itchy and achey, but being able to move a little bit more each day! They look sooo big!! Like I took my bra off last night and just had the strapping on for about five minutes which felt amaaaazing, and they looked actually massive lol, was secretly very pleased!! My strapping comes off Friday, and I cannot waiiiit for that day!!! This itching is agony, plus when I get up or sit up, the strapping drags on where my drains were ? Ahh I’m so glad about yours – I bet you love them!! Would be soo pleased if mine looks like yours!! You’ll have to kee my updated on progress! Xxxxx

    Hi Jessica,

I’m ok now, POD4. It’s very itchy and still quite uncomfortable but I can move a bit more now! Ahh congratulations with the op. OMG I’m glad someone else was like that!! The nurses must’ve thought I was mental lol! How you feeling now?

Ahh the pain isn’t too bad when I’m sitting or lying, but sometimes it just drags on the side of my boobs, that’s the worst place I’ve found. You’ll be absolutely fine. Keep me updated 🙂 xxx
