Hi Girls
so I thought id write a little essay about my experience.
Op Day (not with mya)
admitted at 6.30am, op at 9.30am, back in my room around 12pm.
I was very sick due to the anaesthetic – I knew I didn’t react well with this so had pre warned people!
I kept throwing up fluid and was extremely bloated. the nurse put me on oxygen as I was taking enough in and gave me a shot of morphine to knock me back out.
I woke up again around 4 and had to eat, I literally couldn’t lift a sandwich!
I left the hospital around 6.30pm.
the first couple of days are a blur, I was in and out of sleep (anaesthetic takes a couple of days for me to come round) and was sick numerous times. the medication was all too much so I had to come off the pain killers.
thankfully I actually had little pain 🙂 so this was okay.
sleeping is terrible, iv never had a back ache like it. I had more pain in the back than my boobs!
for the first 2 days I struggled to walk because of the drugs, I couldn’t hold myself up, and for the first 4 days my boyfriend had to take me to the toilet, pulling your knickers down and up is not as easy as you think.
the first week I had 24 hour care every day because I was a few days behind on recovering due to extreme sickness. However I am now day 12 and things are getting easier by the day.
iv returned to work finally, and am taking little steps to recover. my boobs are still high and rock hard, I think this is mainly due to my skin being so tight, I think its going to take a while to stretch out properly! i can feel all of my left boob and only half of my right. i get a lot of shooting pains in my right where i think it is repairing more and having to work harder (also im right handed so use it a lot more, so this may have an effect). my right nipple is also mega sensitive it hurts a lot! once i have a sports bra on it helps!
i still struggle to get tops on and off and cant do a lot of things i used too! 🙁 i think this is all because my skin is just too tight at the moment.
i had 360cc overs from a 34b. currently wearing a 34e sports bra, but imagine once settled ill be a DD.
hope this helps some of you girls. just prepare for the worst, and it can only be better 🙂
remember the following
V pillows, I had 2, one behind my head and one under my knees to stop me slipping and take pressure off.
bottles of water left on the bed – you will not be able to turn to your bedside table!
you must eat – I lost my appetite hugely but if you don’t you will be sick.
Hope all you girls have a slightly better experience lol 🙂 xxxx
