op next week!! how long before u could drive again

hey girls my op is next week i just wondered how long you waited before driving again? i do drive quite a bit lol next friday ill have boobs!!! xx

heya im 1 weeek post op today and drove for the first time to the shop. It wasent the easiest tbh i found going into fith gear quite difficult lol x

Most insurers wont cover you for 7 days after a general anaesthetic hun..thiink thats mainly why they say wait a week x

im not gonna drive for a week i just wondered how long yous left it before feeling ready to drive again im gettin nervous lol xx

Eek I was hoping to drive back to uni a week after but it’s like a 3hr drive.. Motorways most of the way so would definitely need 5th! xx

I drove today – 7 days post op. Was fine but definately wouldnt have wanted to do it fur 3 hours!x

Im 10 days post op with unders and feel im not ready to drive yet. (But maybe thats because i don’t drive less than an hour to get anywhere). If you are having overs you should be fine one week after x

I’m five days post op and drove today, felt i’d be fine as it was only a five minute journey and i’m literally pain free. But must say it was a little uncomfortable and i did get the odd twang when i was driving!

It was almost 3 weeks before i felt ok to drive – but i had an uplift x

I’m getting op’d on the 10th May and back at work (20mins drive away) on the 16th.

I better be able to drive!! lol. I’m overs and having a nice chillax week so hopefully I’ll be healed nicely enough to drive.

Claireybabes – Im in on the 10th too and hoping to be back in work the following monday fingers crossed ay!

Very nervous now lol I’ve already taken an extra couple of weeks away from uni getting ready for the op, and now I think I might have to take even longer! God knows I won’t be able to tackle 3hrs worth of motorways without using 5th gear lol. Guess I’d better up the pain killers before the journey back! x
