Op on Tues.. Leaving for London tomorrow..

..I’ve lost the bit of paper that you get at your pre-op saying what you can’t do etc 24 hours before.. could someone please give me a quick update and just list down any other important things like stuff i need to pack etc.. Panickinggg!! Eeeek!

P.S I’m a day case!

No probs:

Don’t wear mousteriser for 24 hours before

Don’t use deodrant after your last shower either night before or that morning

Don’t use fake tan for 7 days before

Don’t drink alcohol for 48 hours before admission

Don’t eat for 6 hours before admission

Only drink water from hours 6 to 2 hrs before

Take your jewellerry off

Take off all nail varnish and false nails

take a hair band with you (without metal on) if you have long hair

no makeup on

I think that’s it for the pre op sheetxx

To take:

comfies for afterwards with zip up or button up top, loose enough

slip on shoes preferably

snacks as they may not give you enough food for your painkillers

v pillow

dressing gown and slippers

laptop

mags or a book

make up remover in case you wear make up to the hospital

antiseptic wipes

sucking sweets and some squash
