op tomorrow:) should i stay over night in hotel after?

Hi girls!, cant believe my op is finally tomorrow. Excited but nervous at the same time!!I will be driving up to Preston later this evening to stay over night as my admission time is 7.30am in the morning. I am only a daycase so just wanted to know wether any of you girls stayed close to the hospital after your op as i know they usually advise you to stay nearby for the first night. I live 2 and a half hours away and didnt know wether i would be in too much pain for the long journey home? How did you all feel leaving straight after your op?xx

Also wanted to wish all the girls having there BA tomorrow or this week all the best of luck!!:)wel be in the boobie club soon!!xx

i would recommend staying close, i travelled up the morning of my op then stayed overnight. i was just so sleepy that i didnt want to move. the journey home to next day was horrible x

If u live more than 50 miles away from hospital then u have to stay in a hotel. That’s what I was told anyway xx

Also. My op was at 10.30am, was bk in my room by 12.30 but didn’t leave hospital til 7.30pm. I slept most of the day in hospital and then went to hotel and had dinner in restaurant. I felt fine didn’t sleep a wink the first night tho but journey home was fine, used a v pillow and hubby drove slowly over the bumps! Lol xx
