open rhino and smiling

hey guyss

ive had open rhino and every time i smile it feels like i’m going to split the stiches! it’s really tight and it moves the cast! do you think i’m doing any damage, cant help smiling though!!

Yeh I felt like that hun! Everytime I laughed/smiled thought I was causing damage! Even called the nurse! But it’s fine can’t do any damage!

Yeah, mine felt really tight and I couldn’t smile for a few days, found it started improving once the stitches were out and I was back to my smiley self before three weeks.

worse with the stitches on the side of nostrils isnt it. but nurse told me to try not to smile alot or laugh ect because of where my stitches were? so maybe be abit careful x

yeaaah blummin alar base, got stiches all over the place. theyre inside my nose as well but theyre disolveable ones!

Hi I’m 3 wks post op and my stitches are still tight . .just wondered when they start to dissolve , still got all mine all inside at the top of nostrils where I can feel but can’t see them . .had to trim one as it stuck out of my nostril (not a good look) . . can’t do a full smile yet .. do they sort of work their way out or do they need a little help ???. .thx . .xx

I have my blue stiches out tomorrow, but then the ones up your nose are clear/yellow and dissolveable, but not sure when that will be .. maybe you should call the nurse sweetie?

Hey guys, I broke my nose in a little collision with my friend and was wondering that how crooked/odd looking were our noses till you decided to have Rhinoplasty. I mean the ENT specialist post accident didn’t do much, just a closed reduction but I feel like the entire nose is bending now to one side. I have a picture if you’ll want to see. Anyways, any details on healing, guides etc would be great. Thank you. (Still unsure if I want this done or not).
