Hi everyone. For those of you who aren’t on Instagram I thought I would share my progress with you all. I had open rhinoplasty at the first trust hospital in Preston on the 8th of March. I am now 12 days post op and absolutely over the moon.
Dr Andrea was fantastic, I can’t praise him enough. If you are considering having your rhinoplasty with him – do it! I can’t imagine anyone not taking a shine to him. All the staff at the first trust hospital were lovely too, so friendly and attentive.
After coming round from the anaesthetic I felt incredibly sick, but one anti sickness injection later I felt much better. The nurse came in every half hour to check my blood pressure and pulse and check I wasn’t in any pain. I was then discharged a few hours later once everyone was satisfied I was strong enough to go. I stayed in the ibis Preston north hotel instead of going straight home as I lived over 2 hours away. I would recommend staying there as it is so close to the hospital and has everything you need.
I have to say that I didn’t find recovery painful at all. It was more the discomfort of sleeping upright and having a dry mouth from the nasal packing. 2 days after my op I had the nasal packing removed and felt so much better! Then at 6 days post op, the sutures and cast were removed to reveal my new nose. I am so happy!!
