OT – Tattoo

Hi Girls, I have my op on May 1st, how long before or after should i not get my tattoo done its only little like 1 inch squared not massive! and its no where near my boobies lol. any advice wud be greatly appreciated xx

I would get it 2 weeks before the op, personally. That gives it time to heal before the op. x

Damn it ive only got 10 days till my op how long after it should i wait or does it not really matter once the op is done? xx

If your healing is anything like mine, the last thing you’re gonna want to do is get tattood. It took me a good 4 weeks to feel back to normal. xx

Oh god i hope did you feel that bad? my friend was litterally back to normal like 3-4 days after her op just bv not lifting things etc but said within herself she felt fine! i am sooooo desperate for it to be done now i have the idea in my head! would it cause any complications to my recovery if i had it done just after if i felt ok in myself? xx

My friend had hers about a week before her op and he didn’t want to operate on her, it’s a risk of infection and he only did it because she had travelled so far, and he made her sign something because of it, it’s not worth risking x

Hey hun, I got a tattoo on my stomach about a week before surgery and then I had another tattoo on my forearm 2 days ago (6 days PO) lol anyone would think I love pain or something! Anyways u will be fine whenever I get it, I was x x

I was shopping in asda the day after my first op ha ha. So I’m sre if u feel fie and the tattoo isn’t on yr boobs u will be totally fine to have one. I wld ha ha xx

any time is fine after your op id wait 2 weeks tho so you feel comfortable maybe? depends on how you feel. i didnt have my boobs done but i went and got a massive one done on my arm after my op! as long as it isnt near your incisions then your fine ha x

i think after the op when you’re feeling better in your self should be ok, ut def not before. i think its because of risks like mrsa, infections etc as they use needles. i know you cant give blood for about 6months – 1 year after having piercings/tattoos etc. so play it safe and wait till after xx good luck with your op 10 days how exciting. im 4 weeks away x

Thanks for ur advice girlies! I’ll wait till I’m feeling ok and then book it so I know I’m ok rather than pre booking it now and find I still feel rubbish by time tattoo day comes lol.
