I got told no drinking 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after so I’ve stuck it out even though it’s been soo boring!

Best option would be to call your nurse xxx

I would’nt take a chance honey, better to be safe than sorry for the sake of a few glasses of wine, you can enjoy a glass of wine when you are all healed, found this on the internet. But it is your decision.xxx

Alcohol slows production of blood components called platelets, which are responsible for clotting. That makes it seem that the blood is being thinned, when in fact it is simply not being thickened properly at the right time.

i was told two weeks before and after, as alcohol thins your blood, when i went out i had alcohol free cocktails, and was the driver (before op) so i wasnt tempted to even have a small glass. after is harder though (well im finding, as me and my partner own pubs), as i cant drive so dont have that excuse xx
