Over thinking or??

Hey girls, I’m now like 8dpo and I have been reading loads of stuff on the internet and I think I’m getting worried that something is wrong!

I have no pain at all, but I’m scared something is happening with my right boob. After my surgery my sternum was really swollen and came out in a massive bruise a few days later, more on the right side than the left. Now that the swelling has gone down there is so much sloshing and when I press down on the area it’s so spongy as if the pocket is slightly bigger and all the fluid is collecting in this area. When I press down I can feel and hear a lot of liquid moving inside. Other than that I’m having no problems but I’m just scared because I didn’t have drains or anything.

I know that bruising and the feeling of air pockets is normal after surgery but I feel like it’s excessive?

I have my post op on Saturday but

Hey I’m 4 weeks post op now, although I didn’t have any bruising my sternum has been so swollen, some days I I felt like I had uni boob, I’ve had two post ops with the nurses and emailed my surgeon pictures because I was also worried, it is just a waiting game patience is key, mine are so different to what they were a week ago or two ago, give it time unfortunately it can take up to a year to see the finished product xx

@jamieelise yeah the swelling has now gone, it’s the fluid I’m worried about because it sounds like there’s so much and as if there’s a gap. I’ll have to mention something at my post op xxx

Yeah see what they say, hopefully it’s nothing to worry about, I had some weird bubbling noises during the first two weeks, it’s such a big thing to go through and it’s hard not to worry about things xx

@jamieelise just got back from my post op and she said everything’s looking fine! She said there would’ve just been more fluid in that side than the other but it will take about 3 weeks to go away xxx
