I know it depends how far away u live from the hospital. If under a hour u can have a day case and if over a hour over night but i know some girls who have had a day case and stayed in a hotel close by to the hospital

Its just so your easily availble to come back to the hospital fast if there is anything wrong

    xx

    Hiya,

I’m having my op in Manchester and having a Daycase. It depends if MYA offer this to you when you have your consultation (it’s cheaper and worth asking if not mentioned as an option to you) I live in Bradford near the M606 roundabout so not close to the Hospital at all, found a travel lodge to stay in over night and that cost me

I was told that the new guidelines say that you have to be within 35 mins of the hospital im 48 mins away so will have to stop in a hotel nearby. Apparently they check that you have booked accomodation aswell. I had a fear of the hospital so i begged to be a daycase. my pc faxed over my medical notes to the surgeon then he okayed it xxx
