My op is tomorrow and my admission time is 1pm, I was told I’d be having an overnight stay but when I asked Traynor if I needed one he said no it just costs more. I asked PC if I could be changed to day case but she said there’s only so many day and night cases they can do. So even though it’s all payed for as long as I’m feeling okay and everything goes smoothly do you think they will let me go home same day? Having all sorts of irrational worries now I’m only a day away I’m very emotional so I’d be grateful for any help haha! Xxx

Hi Lucy, I was also an overnight stay, 3pm admission time.
Honestly staying overnight is no problem, the nurses were really helpful and friendly and make you feel really comfortable. It’s probably best you stay in as being a later admission time you probably won’t go down till a bit later, so they will want to keep an eye on you for a bit after. I went down at 6pm and was discharged at 10am the following morning, felt like I was there for no time at all!
Good luck Hun and just think of the amazing boobs you will be waking up with! Xx

Thanks for the reassurance @lucy-1991 I just get abit home sick as I’ve got a little girl at home 🙁 I’ll just go with whatever the nurses think is best I think I’m just finding things to worry about cause it’s so close. Didn’t think I’d get this nervous haha I’m a wreck!! Good to know I should be discharged quite early though thank you honey 🙂 xxx

    Hey Lucy.
I would image that it depends what time your surgery is chick. However, my admission time was 1pm (I was only a day case) but I went down for my surgery at 6.30pm and was back round in recovery and awake within the hour. I was up and asking if I could leave 2 hours after I’d come around. I felt great. They said I should really stay in at least 3 hours after coming around but seeing as I looked and felt so good, there was no reason why I couldn’t leave. I left Preston at 10pm.
You’ll probably just have to wait and see where your Surgery time is 🙂 good luck! How exciting x

@lr666 Thank you it’s good to know that they’ll let me go if I’m feeling up to it! Obviously if I’m not in a good way I’ll just stay in and let them drug me up haha. Is there any parking at the Preston hospital? Xx

I would say go at your own pace, I know that feeling of home sick but when you come around, it will just be you and your new boobs (so overwhelming)! I have never been in hospital before but the Preston staff are so lovely and the hospital is nice. If you need looking after then just relax and let them take care of you. You will be leaving by lunch time anyway. Such an experience and you will be so happy with you new assests, I know I am! Yes, theres plenty of parking spaces and it’s quite easy to find with a sat nav. Not long chick 😀 x
