Overnighters, What time will I be discharged in the morning?

My op is on Friday, does any one know what time they kick you out of hospital in the morning? I need to let my Sis know what time to pick me up.

I’m staying overnight for 2 nights, so will be discharged on Sunday.

I’m at the Highgate hospital, I haven’t booked my hotel yet for Thursday night. I’m travelling to london night before on my own by train. And my sister is going to fetch me Sunday. Feel sorry for her, long drive, wish I could get train back but not gonna risk it.

I think it’s about 9 or 9.30 I’m getting mine done on tuesday at Highgate and im staying overnight and i’ve seen on lots of boob op stories that the girls have been released at 9ish. I’ve told my boyfriend to pick me up on wednesday at 9. xx

hi at highgate there pharmacy opens at 9 so if ur ready by then and they have given u ur discharge papers you can go xx i left by 9.05 xxx

i was not discharged til around 11, they took ages to get my meds and do the rounds xx

I was an overnighter and nobody was able to pick me up until 1pm…they kicked me out of my room at 8.30am and left me sat in the day room for almost 5 hours…i was at Preston x

Aww Jo, that must have been awful! I can’t imagine having to sit anywhere waiting the way I felt after my uplift! xxx

omg cant belive they chucked u out ur room!! i stayed over nite and i didnt leave till 2pm,they told me not to leave till i was ready xxx

It wasn’t nice, i ended up having a really funny turn about 12ish and they had to come and take my blood pressure again…it was horrible, it was a lady who was waiting for her daughter who went and got the nurse for me xx

Jesus Jo, that is horrendous! I barely managed to get from the room to the car without help, and then all i wanted to do was get home and into my bed, you poor thing! xxx

to be honest i didn’t rate preston at all…all they gave me to eat after my op was a bag of crisps (i asked for a ham butty) as they had nothing in the kitchen apparently and then at breakfast the next morning i ordered toast and coffee – i popped out for a cig (naughty i know) with my coffee and when i came back they had took my toast away before i had even touched it – prob why i felt so ill while i was waiting to go home as it had been over 24 hours since i had eaten properly by then…not impressed at all xx

Think I’m going to get train at 6ish on morning of surgery. Then get taxi from train station to highgate. I’ve allowed myself 1and 1/2 hours taxi journey in case of traffic in London.

Oh no…..I’m booked in to Preston on 18th July. xxjoxx I’m so glad you put a bit of your story up, I can’t get a lift home till like 5pm!! I don’t want to be sat in a frigging day room for 8hrs!!! Xx

Hopefully my experience with preston was a one off karen, i have heard so many good stories on here about preston hospital! Maybe speak to your pc about it? Its not the best situation to be in after major surgery and 8 hours is worse still xx

Bloody hope so! Lol. I’m travelling up from Bristol so I’ve got a 4.5hr drive after as well! Not looking forward to it xx

It was 3 months ago since i had my op so they may have changed their way of doing things now – if you let them know beforehand that its gonna be 5pm before anyone can come and get you they may sort something out hun xx

In all honesty I’m fine today actualy a little excited…. I can’t believe this time next week I’ll be almost over the worst… I can’t believe I’m gonna have a flat tum this time next week… CRAZY!!!

Hey chezzie u ready? I’ve just finished unpacking my suit case from my wkend away. Now got catch up with house work sort kids and cat out. I’m gonna look after myself when I get back so got to start thinking about ready meals. I decided gonna get train in the morning, then get tube to highgate.

Anyone know the nearest tube station to highgate from Euston? I know it’s northern line.
