My admission time was 7.30am so i didn’t eat anything since 5pm the night before…i went to theatre at 12.45 and got back to my room at 4.15 and it was around 6pm before they brought me anything to eat so i was 24 hours without food – i was starving xx

I was overnight – admission time was 10am. (Found out when I arrived at Highgate it was really supposed to the 12). Had a bit of a wait, but with nurses, surgeons etc coming and going it went quick!! Not sure when I went into theatre, but know I woke up from my GA at 1.15pm. I had tea and toast pretty soon after,…maybe around 2pm?? I felt fabber though :)

Was discharged at 9.30-10am the following morning, had a 10 minute wait for meds and then I was off home. I would recommend the overnight to anyone that dont live ‘local’ – at least you get looked after and checked on throughout the afternoon/evening.
