Overs…..unders…….partials???

What’s the difference girls??

From wot I understand… Over goes over the muscle and is thought to b more fake looking, unders are under the muscle and more natural and partials are in between. Partials is what I’m having as Russo said it will giv me a bit of a lift apparently. X

Overs are placed over the muscle and under the breast tissue with the aim of a faker look (but most overs I have seen are very natural looking), partials (usually called unders) are placed under the first layer of muscle with the aim of a more natural look and feel (mine look and feel very fake for being partials, so the rule of thumb doesn’t work as often now), and unders are placed under all three layers, this is very rarely used in a normal BA, it’s generally used for reconstructive or gender surgery (for example, a lady who had cancer, and a man becoming a woman) xx

Agree with Joannabella – unders are not actually fully unders with normal BA’s and are referred to as unders when in actualy fact the implant is onlt placed partially unders the muscle and so therefore is actually partials.

I had overs two days ago and am still recovering, they have a fuller look on top and are supposed to give more cleavage.

Unders are supposed to look more natural but as stated above they aren’t really seperated anymore into one looks fake and one doesn’t as they can all look as natural as the next.

I had overs as I could have a bigger implant – I had 400’s with Singh and I love them.

Unders are supposed to give less chance of rippling but I think if you are going to get rippling then you will either way, and is less than 1% anyway.

Think it all comes down to personal preference.

When i questioned my surgeon about partials n unders he said no your having full unders then i spoke to my pc and i asked her about it she told me that partials r less common then full unders so i dont understand at all. So apparantly i have full unders and i had breast tissue i was a 30c pre op.am confused after reading on here tgat unders r basically partials but my surgery telling me different xx

Thanks! I was offered partials but after reading the posts I think i would like overs, but I guess I’ll just have to ask the surgeon x

This should all be double checked cause as far as I have been told by three different surgeons is with ‘unders’ – they go under the pectoral muscle which slants off to the side naturally and so only half of the implant is actually covered, so while still being referred to and technically being an ‘under’, the other half or just under half is still classed as over as there is no muscle covering it and so is technically a partial. The muscle can not cover the entire of the implant due to the shape of it. But is classed as an under as it placed ‘under’ the muscle. Hope that helps. So much conflicting info everywhere xxx

My surgeon told me that with full unders not all of the implant is covered cause underneath there is no muscle its just tissue. This is so confusing thats why i asked my pc cause its all so confusing n thats when she said full inders are more done than partials :/xx

Yeah that’s what I was told too Bec – weird isn’t it.

So much conflicting info and confusing! Just think how much we’ve all learnt along our journeys.. I started on here in March with no clue about anything and everyone thinks getting a boob job is a thought free process .. jesus!! I feel like I’ve done a Boobie Degree!!

Still loving your boobs though.. can’t wait until mine are soft and looking more like yours, although I did have to have overs. xxx

i had overs hun because i had ski slope boobs to start with (no upper fullness just fullness below the nipple) and he said that if i had unders the shape wouldnt improve and i would be disspapointed . so i had 410 over and i am over the moon with the results they dont have the upper round bit like posh spice which i am soo pleased about!! they have such a natural look but there just lovely and big and the clevage is amazing!!!

That’s it Bec – I don’t know if I’m coming or going with what’s said – i think just as long as we go with what we are comfortable with – and yours are fab! Mine are starting to feel less tight during the day-mornings are still pretty hard and stiff though. Day two I guess though xx

Meg – I can’t wait to get a cleavage – I have NEVER had one and I need one!! Now! Lol – so excited si just have nice bigger boobies, instead of my little a-cups before! xx

lucie its the most amazing thing ever!! i feel like i perv on myself all day im constantly looking at my boobs and wanting to have a feel hahah !! all my friends say that i am boob obsessed and to stop looking at my boobs! but i just cant help it! i can hold a pencil in my clevage its amazing” lol x

Past the 1st 7 days they will feel loads better. 8wk po today n mine r totaly sofr now they jus feel like natural boob lol xx

hahaha girls – I have never looked at so many boobs in my life lol – my boyfriend must have been in heaven these past couple of months. He’s been a gem throughout all this! And all the support on here has been fab!! You don’t realise just how many girls out there are going through the exact same thing! xx
