Pain

Okay so my op was on Thursday and I’ve not really had any pain yet (touch wood). I started taking the co-codamol as soon as I got home but its really blocking me up, how long did everyone take their pain meds for? I want to stop them so I can go to the toilet like normal again but I’m really scared of the pain coming back. also, does the pain increase after the first few days because I’ve only had a bit of discomfort yesterday and I’m fine again today, will it all come along later? Thanks xx

I had my op yesterday n havnt had to hardly take any pain killers they gave me sum at 3 as i left the hospital n i did t tale aum more till 11 wen i went to bed n i didnt feel u needed them then just tuk thrm to b on the safe side incase any pain came on while i was asleep. But hav got up this mornin n still aint had to hav any. So if u dnt need them id try nt to take them, R u in much pain mate ? X

No not in any pain but I’ve been taking them anyway cause I don’t want any pain to come on haha I’m scared they’ll really hurt if I stop taking them xx

Its different for everyone.

Think I might just cut down to like 6 every 24 hours and then if there’s no pain slowly stop them xx

I am 3 days po, I’ve been fine up until now. However, I’ve woken up today with intense heart burn like pain on the left side . Is this normal? X

I’m not sure hun, every time I feel off I just assume its this medication, I have an appointment at my doctors on Monday so I’m gonna ask for their advice, see if they can give me pain relief that doesn’t make you constipated or some laxatives that actually work! Haha …

Yh id try n cut dwn katie so u can c if u hav got any pain n if so wher it is.. N daniella i think pain can cum on anytime afta, one girl i spoke to was pain free till day 5. So im sure its normal hun xx

If ur not in any pain I wood definately cut down on pain meds! By day 4 I was just on normal paracetamol so it mite b worth trying that 2 stop u getting bloated etc xx

Thanks girls I’m going to cut down and start over the counter painkillers instead xx
