pain and recovery :-/

Hey girlies,

as some of u know i m due my op on the 23rd march I have taken 3 weeks off work as my job is quite active.

I was wondering if any of u girlies would he willing to share ur jobs with me and how long u have/plan to have off work for ur ba. (if u dont wanna post ur jobs on ere can u pls pm me)…

Also for u gym girlies,, how long was it before u were lifting weights after the six week period? Also how did u find it? And finally did u feel ur strength was affected.by the.ba

I work in retail, i often lift heavy things and reach and stretch, i’m 7 days post op today and am glad i have an extra week off. I’m still struggling to put a coat on without causing myself too much pain lol. There’s no way i could carry or lift my son either just yet, which is hard but he understands mummy is poorly.

Heyy I think everyone is different to be honest..my first ba it took me around 2 weeks or so to be lifting things and feeling back to normal, but my 2nd ba I managed to dress myself after getting out of my op and pretty much back to normal after about 3 days! x

im a nurse in a busy mental health hospital ward ive only got 2 weeks off i know ill prob no be back in time so i plan to phone in sick if i feel im not ready to go back got my ba in 5 weeeks starting to crap ma pants lol xx

Hey donna hun. Im sure i spoke to u a while ago hunni. Glad uve got ya op booked!! Where u having it an who is ur surgeon? Will u keep me updated pls? As u may member im a jailer so will need about same mount of time off as u. Goodnluck.xxx

hey hunny, I wasnt bedridden but very restricted. I took 2 week off work and I work in a office. I struggled with arm movement for 3 weeks…..i looked like a T-Rex lol.

As for Gym/Dance your not allowed to go back until after your 6 week post op appt with your nurse as they need to make sure you are totally fully healed….just to make sure they dont pop open lol.

I am 6 weeks post op and i am back to my normal routine weights and all. xxx

Brill thanx for ur help hun. U noticed a decrease in ur strength? I ulhope 3 weeks is enough as we have ver heavy doors ay work and the odd scuffle.lol. How are u? Everything heald ok? Did u have unders hun xx

hey girls,

im nearly three weeks post op and im ok! I’m still very cautious of my scars but overall i can do most things. its just putting the car in 5th gear that i notice a tiny difficulty but other than that im just still getting used to my new boobies. My boobies and getting nice and soft, now ale to give a little wiggle he he!!

On the day of you op you wont feel a thing, you have more than enough painkillers and your resting so its quite nice to keep sneaking a peek at your boobs.

To be totally honest its day 2 and three which are the most uncomfortable. Just keep up with your pain killers and you will be fine. Also as the meds make you constipated make sure you get some laxatives as i found this didnt help with me already being uncomfortable.

I have 525 overs and i am now wearing a 32 e sports bra and its getting abit tight.Pre op i was a 32c but empty, with no fullness!

I just cant wait to wear normal bra’s…….

I DON’T WORK! SIMPLES! Ill be getting mines done during my university summer holidays then my gran’s wedding will be like a few weeks later

I did used to work but got let-go and I work every so often for my district council as a sports coach for children and young people with special needs and hoping to get a job in a special school this month at some point I do want another job just hard to get one now that will fit around my uni days my student loan is paying for my BA though lol and while I was working I saved up the rest of the money I needed

its so exciting, im even excited for you girlies! the most exciting bit is the before bit, take lots of pictures so you can compare afterwards. and the 2nd best bit is when youve got them and your mind can rest as you are done and dusted.

hi everyone . i had my reduction three weeks ago . i have a horse.

im back at working with my horse and have been for over a week , light duties , my intention is to ride tomorrow , and iv been back to the gym today , but have worked with my personal trainer on wed of last week.

everyone is different , so see how you feel and dnt try to rush , everything is one day at a time . i love my new boobs , and know you will love yours . love kate .xxx

bchj – I’m allergic to codine too, just make sure you tell every nurse you see, they’ll even put a red tag around your wrist with codine written on it. I was given paracetamol to take home, it seemed to do the job pain wise, i was only counting down the minutes for the next dosage a couple of times.

I think they used a different mixture of stuff for me when i was under too as apparently morphine is from the same family as codine or something, but i was absolutely pain free after op, didn’t start feeling them ache until about 4 hours afterwards. I’ve got pics up on my profile if you were interested. I had 260 overs

Hi dawni thats great. Im gonna email my pc for a start so its put on my initial file. I cannot have codine at all i pass out and be sickand things. I would love to see ur pics hunni cant wait till i can share mine lol. God i wouldnt of hough paracetemol would would do the job!! xxx
