Hi girls, im 5 days post op (had 300 mod plus overs) & I’m starting to worry that something is wrong because only one of my boobs has any pain?
My left boob feels absolutely fine like nothing has even happened to it & has done from the beginning but my right boob is quite painful. Its fine when I’m not moving & it doesnt really hurt when i touch it but when I sit up or move I get what I can only describe as a rush of intense pressure/pain?

To be honest the pain isnt unbearable at all but the fact that my boobs feel so different to each other is making me worry a bit. I dont know whether the painful one is how its supposed to feel & I’m just lucky with the other one not hurting or whether they should both feel like the non-painful one & theres some complication causing the pain in the painful one – if that makes any sense!!

    Any advice would be appreciated!

I’d always say call your Dr just incase but my right boob was the worst & it did worry me but find from talking to people that it’s fairly normal

They’re technically two different operations and bound to heal differently and at different rates I wouldn’t worry at all xx

Yes I agree with Heidi, need to treat them as two separate operations, my right was always worse for pain, becuase I’m right handed so naturally used that side more xx

Hey Tiffany, im not a nurse or anything but this is what i learnt from my experience-

Ok so my right boob was so MUCH more painful than my left, feeling the most pain when sitting up..especially in the morning!. My left felt almost completely normal by day 4-5 but my right not much improvement and I too started to worry.

I spoke to my nurse at my 1 week post up and she said it’s common and also normal. It Can be for many reasons, such as the pure fact that you’re right handed so therefor there’s more ‘trauma’ from the cutting of muscle on that side as you have stronger muscles on that side (especially for under the muscle girls) Or you might be over doing it on one side with out realising it. Or its just random and your own bodies way of reacting to the surgery and will pass.

Believe me, it gets better, I’m 3 weeks post op and everything has evened out, by 10days-2 weeks i felt much better. just waiting for them to drop and fluff finally.

Good luck with your recovery! xx

    Hi
I’m the same, my left side is fine, my right side is burning and more uncomfortable. I am only 3dpo, however after reading this I now know im not the only one.
