So sorry to all you pre op girls dn’t want to scare you because everybody’s recover is different i’ve been avoiding posting this but i really need to know if i’m the only person whohas experienced this much pain as i’ve only really saw stories of great recoveries!
From the first night i was in so much pain the nurses agreed to let Me stay overnight as i was so bad. The next day i was a little betterbeing able to get out of bed but by about 8ish last night i was in so much pain i was shaking & being sick, My Dad took Me down to walk in which was even an effort & they put Me on Tramadol & gave Me sleeping tablets, i’m also takin parocetamol in between & i’m still in a lot of pain!! Today i’ve been bed bound & just tried to sleep it off whilst My Mum & Dad have My kids. My pain today is mainly under My arms or if i move them it feels as though the muscle is being pulled then My breast will contract which is awful.
Sorry to go on i judt really need to know if anyone is or has been in the same boat as Me as My Mum is even starting to worry that i shouldn’t be in this much pain 🙁 xx

hey hun, I’m so sorry you’re like this but i had a similar experience. I was fine the day of the op and getting home thanks to the codeine but the next few days were hell. I really regretted having it done if i’m honest. Now i’m post op day 8 and i LOVE my boobs. i’m only just feeling back to myself and i do get in quite a bit of pain if i go out and try to do too much. I’m meant to be going back to work tomorrow but i’m gonna see how i feel in the morning as i really don’t want to risk anything. I panicked massively that my recovery seemed to be going so bad compared to others but i realised everyone is different and everyone’s bodies react differently. I promise you will feel better in time. I also got Naproxen from my gp which has been a lifesaver 🙂 xx

Yeah that’s how I felt, I understand! Well I had my not friday gone the friday before, my worst day was the monday by a mile, every day after that I felt slightly better but still not good at all and I wasn’t back out and about like the other girls were. Friday, so a week after, I made it into london for my post op but it was a massive struggle and I slept for hours when I got home but then yesterday I felt sooooooo much better. I also found the feeling when my breast muscle was contracting really horrible but they died down a lot about Wednesday/Thursday and that has made me feel so much better. I have also decided to take one more day off work as I tried to sleep without painkillers tonight and it’s currently 6 in the morning and I’ve barely had half an hours sleep as my incisions are itching like mad but that’s a good sign because it shows they’re healing thank goodness. I really hope you start to get over the worst soon lovely and start to feel better because I know it can really get to you if it drags on! Xx

Hope the pain is subsiding a little today?

Wow – My PC that if for whatever reason I had to stay overnight it would be at their expense, I didn’t think you’d have to pay?! I’d appeal that one!!

and obviously pain killers but after a week wen your antibiotics are finished the bruising is what actually takes ages to settle then incisions start hurting because they are trying to heal and throughout ice packs are extremely helpful xx hope you get better soon x

Have you seen about maybe seeing your gp to maybe get some stronger pain killers? Xx
