Hi girls,
Since my op 6 days ago I’ve noticed a small area of my upper thigh is partially numb. I’m guessing it’s the area where the pain killer was injected during my op. Has anyone else experienced this? Going to speak to a nurse tomorrow to see what she thinks about it
X
Never heard of this one hun I would defo ask your nurse.
I would of thought everything went through canular x
Yes the pain killer is injected into your thigh although I can’t even see where mine went in and wasn’t warned it may be numb, I would def ask the nurse today. Good luck at your ap I’m nervous about seeing my scars! xx

I was literally 2 minutes away from the clinic when I checked my phone to see if I was late and had a voicemail telling me that there had been a fire at the clinic and that my appointment has been cancelled. Tried ringing up the number they gave me and all I got from them was I cant get through to the manchester clinic right now I will get them to give you a call. So God knows when I will be having my post op.
What time is your pre-op? They might re-open before it x
Oh dear! Just glad i havent booked my train in advance.
Mines at 7pm. what a shame! hopefully they can see us both! what time was your appointment when they rang you? xxx
my pc just got back to me and my appointment is still on for 7pm 🙂
do you live quite close to the clinic? xxx
My appointment was for 10:30 this morning. I live like 50 mins away so wasn’t overly happy about it all but it can’t be helped. X
Hi Danielle
How’s the leg now? Just wondering were you sick post op? I know sometimes they can give an anti sickness called cyclizine as an injection post op? They usually do this intramuscular rather than intravenous as some people can have a bad reaction if its entered straight into a vein! Its quite a nippy injection and the one time I had it it left a mark and a numb patch xx
