Pain relief after Operation today help needed please girlies

Had my operation today at 1.30, feeling surprisingly well, however is this still the drugs from the operation still in the system ? The nurse has offered me some pain relief now but I said am ok for now ( is this a mistake ) Should I keep pumped up with drugs or not ? Will my recovery be better without ?

Yeah the drugs will probably still be in your system hun. Are you an overnight case? I’d say leave it til you need it a bit more, no point in puttin stuff in your body you dont need and if you need any later the nurses can give you some then x

take it if you have pain, pretty simple really!

I had my op yesterday morning and just had the morphine and an anti sickness tablet.

Woke up in pain today do started on the meds today. They gave me codeine, another painkiller and antibiotics. I was a re-op so I know it’s important to keep on top of the meds.

So if you’re not in pain at the moment I would leave it and start tomroow.

Im 9 days po but i had more pain relief and muscle relaxer tablets several hours after my ba when i was still in hosp. I kept on top of taking my meds so every 4 hours and pain was ok for me. Day after was worst for me so took ibroprufen before bed and woke up feeling much better. Happy healing xx

Am staying over so it’s reassuring, have just taken a sleeping pill, I just didn’t know if to drug myself up just in case I suddenly get a onset of pain, but currently good, just feel like my breast are engorged ( brings back memories of breast feeding ) got 2 different new babies today !!

Thats good hopefully u will get a good night sleep. Day after was worst for me but u can get pain relief from nurse in the morn. Some people are affected quite bad with the pills side effects and stop taking them and have paracetemol and ibroprufen but i was ok on the pills so finished the prescribed medication taking it on time towards day 4 po i wasnt as reliant on them and took them whrn i needed to. Ah i know what u mean i have to boys to they were worth it but all what we just put our body through for our boobies is also worth it x

Hope you’re feeling ok this morn, the sleeping pill didn’t work for me at in hospital, way too noisy! I’m 11 days po and still wake up stiff and have ibuprofen to get me moving in the morning, take it easy and hope drive home isn’t too bad x
