I am one day post op and expected my pain threshold to be much higher than it is. can hardly do anything for myself because of the pain. I tried the pain killers from the hospital but they made me sick. At the moment, i am being waited on hand and foot so feel quite guilty. i had 300s under the muscle and am guessing that i am around a 34C which is a huge improvement on my flat chest. At the hospital i was actually fine, walking around and eating well. Got home around 5pm and started feeling sickly after the medication. I was sick at midnight but slept quite well after that. can anyone share a similar experience?

Yes! I have a high pain threshold but I really srtuggled for the first 3 days. I also had 300cc partially under the muscle and Mr Adamo said he had to do quite a lot of stitching on the muscle and chest wall to keep them looking natural (I was also very flat before), so maybe this explains the pain? My bf had to do everything for me, I couldn’t even pull my loose PJ bottoms up and down to go to the loo! I also had to come off the co-codamol at day 5 as they weren’t agreeing with me, the nurse said to go onto paracetamol but by this time the pain was easing anyway.
It gets better I promise! I’m 9 days post op now and feeling 100% better, not needing any pain relief and can even lie on my side which is bliss! It all takes time, there’s a lot of healing going on underneath that we can’t see, and the easier you take it the quicker you will heal so don’t feel guilty! It’s all worth it in the end x x

Oh and the nurse said not to take ibruprofen yet as it thins the blood slightly which can delay healing x

thank you so much all you lovely girls for the support! I will have to bear the pain and be more patient. My hubby suggested co-codemol as well but me being a good girl thought it best to try what the hospital prescribed. I think i will give the co-codemol a try though. Take care everyone and have as good an Easter as possible xxxx
