Hi girls, I’m a bit confused as to whether I should be wearing my sports bra or not. Mr Adamo said not to bother but I’ve been wearing one through the day and sleeping without it.
Anyway last night when I got into bed I had excrutiating pain in my left boob, at first it felt like it was on the scar but I actually think it was nerve endings as it was more like shooting pains throughout the boob any time I moved. I’d not long taken painkillers and was close to tears in pain but then I put my sports bra back on and the pain went away and I had a painless nights sleep.
Has anyone else experienced the shooting pains or felt differently when you took your bra off?
Hope someone can help!

Yea me i was in a bit of pain last night me scars were stingin an me bra felt like cheese wire so i took it off an it felt like a sharp electric feelin an really heavy . So put me bra back on . Was a bit scary
Oh thanks for replying Daisy, it’s so helpful having someone at the same stage of recovery!! YES! electric feeling, that’s exactly how I’d describe it, sounds like it’s quite normal then. How you doing today babe? x
Aw it hurts but doin ok even had a lil walk to the shop before . Keep feelin lil bubbles in me right boob tho its strange . How are you hun ? It does help knowin what your feelin is normal . Keep thinkin something has gone wrong or i done to much
I know, I had a lil play on bowling on the wii with the kids earlier, just gently though but you do worry you’ve overdone it. I can’t imagine a bit of a walk would do you any harm though.
Well done on getting some nice bra’s by the way, are you measuring yourself with a tape measure with no bra on? What implants did you have again hun? xxx
Hi Rio, as you know, i also had Mr Adamo and he had said to me about not having to wear a sports bra, unless i felt more comfortable with one on. To be honest, i wore one most of the time, cos my boobs felt quite heavy. I tried to go braless one night within the first few weeks, and didn’t like it one bit, so put the sports bra back on. I use to take if off for a few hours in the morning, and then again for a few hours during the evening, just for a break.
The sharp shooting pains are quite normal too, i had them for the first couple of weeks. Weird feeling, but normal xx
hi gals
my friend had her boobs done and shes been wearing her bra day and night for a month now, and her boobs look amazin.they’re nice and up and round and they have not dropped alot.she feels the same wen she takes hers of.my advice is to keep wearing the bra for a month or so cuz it really makes a diff on how they lk after, cuz lets face it they will drop a lot later so the later the better.its better if u keep them supported huns!xxx
Thanks girls, I definitely feel better having the support of a bra. Glad to hear everything is normal also, thanks for replying xxx
Iv been measuring with me bra on hun . An i had 410cc overs i was a 32b before an 34 f now by the la senza web site x
I had shooting pains in my right boob, i rang up and they said nerve endings! So much better with bra on! I have a boob choob bandage under neath my sports bra so the bra dont rub on scars, really comfy! xxx
Ooh that sounds good Emijane, where did you get it from hun?
I’m reading that everyone else is feeling great and their boobs have softened in only a few days but mine still feel horrible and tight, the best way to describe it was like when I had mastitis when I was breastfeeding. 😥
I got the bandage from the hospital, they put it on me when i left! Oh mine are still really hard, but i like them hard lol! I havent had children yet, so dont know what mastitis feels like but ive been told that the pains u get are similar to when u breast feed! Ive heard that u can massage them to soften them up, i dont know if it works or not! xXx
Ah girls, I didn’t feel right for weeks after my op. I was massively swollen and bruised. Had loads of shooting pains and just didn’t feel comfortable without a bra on! I’m 8 weeks post op tomorrow and they now feel great, but the first few weeks are hell, not only because its uncomfortable but because they look rather football like at first! Haha. It is normal, I was swollen for a good 4-5 weeks at least, bruises didn’t fade until 5 weeks post op either. But safe to say, my bruises are gone and so is the swelling so I’m happy! I know how you all feel though, just remember it will be worth it! xx
