parents……….

has anyone else had a problem with their parents accepting the fact they are getting it done?

I received my letter to confirm the operation and how much i owed…..she rooted in my bedroom and found it…I can ghome from the pub and she was crying….I’ve done everything I can, kept her informed of everything, discussed it in detail…the only thing I can do that would please her is not get it done, which isn’t an option now as I know it’s what I want. Am I being selfish??

The only thing I didn’t tell her was that I have actually booked it, I just said that after seeing the surgeon, this thurs (she is coming), that if i wanted it doing i was going to have it done in august…..don’t know what to do?!?xxxxx

Hey hun x your mum will worry shitless about this until its all done.. i should know mine is at the mo! but its natural for her to be the way she is.. your her lil girl!! she is there to protect you from harms way xx she will come round, if she is going with you to see the surgeon that may reaasure her in some way, get her to ask questions, your not being selfish! your doing it for you. thats not slfish in my eyes. giver her time and she will come round let her know you have booked it so he can prepare herself for it all x

My mon was horrified. Father took it with a pinch of salt and said girls have it done all the time lol. Once the op was over of course, she was full of curiosity

yeh my mum is kinda excited for me in her own lil way…. she rang me the other day to say “4weeks to go Claire, i can’t wait to see the results” MUMS eh hahahahah

I don’t live with my mum and haven’t done for a fair few years so when I told her she still went through the notions of worrying and delving into all the serious questions. But she’s been wonderful, she’s rang me a few times before and after to see how I am and said she can’t wait to go shopping with me xxxx
