Periods…

Anyone who’s normally on the pill been late for their first period due after their op?

I was due to go back on my pill 2 weeks ago but thought i’d rather wait until i have my first bleed since my op and start my pill again from scratch… would have been due on any day over the last 7 days if i’d been following my usual cycle, been having period pains and my boobs were sore 2 weeks ago like they normally are a week before i come on… But still not came on.

Just wondered if any of you other girls experienced this? Dont wanna restart my pill til I’ve had my perios and am safe in the knowledge Im not pregnant or anything like that.

I’m on the pill, cilest, my period came on time but perhaps they can be late but do a pregnancy test to be on the safe side, I experienced sharp pains in my breasts when I started my period.

I had my period two weeks after my op as expected and my breasts were mega sensitive! Your body has been through a major change and all the anesthetic, painkillers and antibiotics can possibly upset any cycle. You’ve been on the pill too and stopped, so that’s bound to upset your cycle too, but like ally says, take a pregnancy test just to rule it out and be on the safe side, all the best honey xxx

Cheers girls… I will do a test then tomorrow cos thats when i should be re starting my pill (if my period would have came this week) x

I have read lots of girls who miss a month or 2 cos of the shock on your body but the fact i was having pains made me think i’d come on by now.

i had a period and came of the pill 17th January Period lasted 7 days and never had another period till the other day, very unusual for me as i only take the pill because normally i have more frequent periods (every other week) im guessing its just the effect of coming off it hun. xx

P.s i havent had my op yet (next tuesday) but decided to come off earlier to get my periods in check. xx

Its always the one thing that you know the more you think of it, the more it will take longer to come so im trying to not stress myself out about it… Wondering if it will just be a little late and thats all (fingers crossed) cos my stomach keeps getting period pains on and off this evening. Will keep you posted lol! x
