physical job- how long off work?

Hiya

I work as a Healthcare Ast on a Dementia Nursing Ward and im on my feet 4 the whole 12hour shift, i also do alot of transfers with hoist etc and moving people up the beds. just wondering if any1 has a physical job and how long they had 2 take off work?

replys would be a massive help as i need 2 book my time off 2day and am really confused how long off i neeed!!

Are you having unders or overs? and is it a basic augmentation or are you having a lift aswell.

I always thought 1 to 2 weeks off work, but with your job I’m not sure if you may need longer?

I havent had mine done yet, but im also a HCA, and do lots of physical things too! Im guessing 2 weeks off? Thats probably what im gonna do? I work on the bank though, so luckily I can choose when im ready!

and i dont think 2weeks will be long enough its so confusing as i dont want 2 rush back 2 wrk n end up with problems from overdoin it… sorry about the moan just really worried xxxx

I think you may need a little longer than 2 weeks with unders honey,I certainly wouldnt be doing any heavy lifting,at 2 weeks,cant you just tell your supervisor in confidence,she is not allowed to disclose what you discuss with her,if she does she will be in big trouble.xxx

im a quick healer so by 3weeks im hoping il be able 2 go back and doo most things, but no heavy lifting

Yes, I agree with Tina hun, for unders- maybe abit longer than 2 wks. Dont worry about her judging you hun, shes not important to you.. as long as ur happy, that is all what matters!
