Piercings

Hi girls,

Does anyone know to what extent we have to take our piercings out? And why?

I have quite a lot…. including 3 oral ones which may close up and one in the ‘down below’ region. Just wondering if you think I could get away with keeping any in? Or replacing them for plastic retainers???

Hey, i asked this last week, i have one down there too, well i was advised that it is because of an electronic current machine they use whilst in surgery affects the metal which then burns your skin and i was told plastic one down there should be fine to keep in, apparantly in the mouth ones need to be removed becuse of a tube they put down your throat and any close to the area of surgery would need to be taken out plastic or metal because or risk of infection xx

Yes, it’s because of the metal, they won’t even let you wear hair clips or elastic hair bands with metal in them!

Hi Hun, u can have no piercings in – they even made me take my hairband out cause it had a of metal in it! X
