Hi girls jus wondering if any of u have had to take ur piercings out before ur op and wen did u put them back in? Cause I’m worried about mine closing up as surgeon said a few days, I this rite, any answers would be very helpful to me.
how long have you had the piercings for? they shouldnt close up after a few days if youv had them for ages. iv got loads i got to take out boo annoying! thankgod i havnt got my neck one still. but the nurse did say to me its better to take them out if you really cant then they will put tape over them something like that x
I got a microdermal diamond implant in one of my tattoos which I don’t really fancy having cut out do you reckon they will just tape it? I got loads of piercings to take out too it’s going to be a long process lol x
I’m in the same boat too! Got nearly 20 piercings, some will be easy to take out but other will be really fiddley! Also, i have my nipple pierced, does anyone know whether you have to remove it for the surgery or whether you can just cover it with tape? I’m worried because nipple piercings close up really quickly! xx
I got my hood pierced had it done for about 8 months but I want my tounge pierced again and last time I had it in for 7 years an the day after I took it out it was closed up so I no it wouldn be worth it if I had to keep it out for days but if I could put it in straight after the op that would be fine, other wise I’ll have to wait til after my op x
iv read some people on here didnt take theres out and they just put tape over. im alright i can take all mine out but if your worried about it closing up keep it in and beg them to put tape over lol im sure they will x
I’ve got my tongue pierced, took it out when the nurse came to collect me and take me to theatre and put it back in straight after the op (when my mam reminded me as I was a bit spaced out!) so you should be ok love Xx
I think the biggest problem would be nipple and tongue bars. I know for a fact that the tongue one will have to come out for the op, in case the ball/bar goes down into your lungs. As for hood, you should be fine with that. They can all be taped up. My ears were. x
