pissed off- nose girls

Hi Girls Havent been on here for ages….

I am 2.5 months post op. Have notice a bump on the side on the bridge of my nose. I havent really felt my nose before so didnt notice before now.

Had my check up with Dr G and he said my nose was “perfect”…surely he would have felt the bump. Its rock hard like bone. Couldnt be more annoyed, literally cant think of anything worse than having that operation again but I cant have a noticable bump on one side of my nose.

Knew something like this would happen to me xxx

Yea but she didn’t bother to call me back. Im getting annoyed now, they don’t bother with you once you’ve had your op…and my nose keeps bleeding. xxx

Ive recently written a post on the aftercare its awful it really needs sorting just keep on at them I think you will be better off going above your pc and phone your clininc and ask for the Manager best of luck hun and hopefully you will b fine xx

Yea I know I think it’s poor! I haven’t spoken to my pc once since I booked my op in July! What a joke! Yea that’s a good idea, il try speaking to the clinic manager.

Layla I’m not 100% sure but I do not think having hard bumps is normal…definitely doesn’t feel it. I think most of my swelling has gone now so not sure it would be that. It’s a small hard bump just feels like he didn’t shave it down properly. My nose hs bled loads as well since my op and when I spoke to the nurse before she tried to say its normal…definitely don’t think it is!

Mine is a small hard ball aswel.. But it’s very small and you can’t see it only feel it… It has been there since the cast came off… I need to go back and see the nurse at some point this week because I have found a stitch that hasn’t been taken out (not a dissolveable one) so I’ll ask about it then hun.. Hope it’s nothing bad!! Is yours right at the top on the side of your bridge??

That dosent sound good about the nose bleeds though.. Would def check that out.. Has that been since the start or is that a recent thing?

Yep that’s the same as mine, but im convinced it’s bone, you couldn’t see mine before but now it’s noticeable my nose isn’t smooth anymore. Omg they left a stitch in…wtf!!!!

Yea let me know what the nurse says I’m going to call agai tomorrow, annoyed she didnt call me back today!

The bleeding Has happened before but stopped…now it’s started again. If I clean y nose there is always blood.

Yeh i love my nose but the swelling is getting me down a bit… Cant wait for it to go so I can just see the end result! It’s so up and down! I didn’t fall in love with it straight away but I can see where the swelling is and how it’s gonna change! Looks different every time I look at it!

Yeh I noticed at the weekend!! It’s bang in the middle of my scar so def shouldn’t be there..

Def ask about the bleeding aswel babe when you speak to her… As if it wasn’t a problem before shouldn’t be one now!

I have bumps either side of my bridge Im 12 weeks post op,and a delve either side looks like ive been wearing glasses,and they dug in the skin,but I have’nt Im hoping its swelling,have’nt seen Dr G since my op, could’nt make the appointment at 9 weeks,Im due to see him on the 7th March in Birmingham.xxx

Ive not been on for ages too but to be honest its cos im not 100% happy either and I got a bit depressed having to keep talking to new people about it etc. so i took all my pics off etc

Basically, i am now nearly three months post op. I can feel a slight bump on the bridge of my nose near the tip. I was hoping this was swelling but now, as im 3 months post op, im not so sure it is. I told Dr G when I saw him about it, but he said it was fine, its perfectly straight…. to me, its not exactly perfectly straight. I feel my nose is still to broad at the top and I can actually feel where the hump was flattened and there is a small line i can feel where he has joined the two bones in together at the bridge….. not nice. I really dont know if i can go through another op and whlst I have these issues with my nose, no one can notice them so im not sure what to do. I had a bad knock a few weeks ago and had to go and see him, but it ahsnt done anything different, i had all these issues before. I just feel like im not being listened too and just being told i have a perfect profile and its perfectly straigh. My issue is now more with my nose front on

Tina, ill be interested to see what he says cos I too have marks that appear that sometimes look like ive been wearing glasses.

I will let you know honey,I also have that line where it feels like something is joined together,however for me lovely, none of its a an issue,I love my new nose I don’t care about the little lumps and bumps,for me mine looks a million times better,suits my face,and he did actually did say to me that he could improve it,but it would’nt be perfect,I an really happy with my result,because my original nose was horrible.He has worked miracles on me,I do believe we can be swollen still up to 4 months post op in places,we have had a lot of trauma to that area,I really hope it is swelling honey. It can also take up to a year or more to see the end result and time drags when you are worried,I think the trouble is we do do tend to analyse a lot because it is right in the middle of our face,just remember sweetheart you will always see what others don’t,I hope everything improves for you honey,the last time I looked at your pictures you looked amazing,but it is how you feel at the end of the day and no matter how many people tell you how good it looks if your not happy,then you need to know if these issues you have can or will improve.Big hugs honey,Im here if you need to chat,xxx

Awww thanx Tina. Reading back maybe I was a bit harsh, my nose still looks amazing…. A billion times better than before, I never even think about it when people look at me from the side or take photos which was my over all goal! I also wouldn’t never discredit dr G so anyone thinking/just had a nose job with him, you won’t get better than him. These are just things I notice day to day which piss me off… But like I said, when I try and tell people no one can see what I’m on about so it is definatly just me!

Georgia, nose bleeds doesn’t sound normal hun hassle them!!! I havnt had that and I’m only a few weeks ahead of u! Xxxxxx

I think it takes about 6 months for the majority of the swelling to go and they say up to a year!! has gone so I’m gonna try not to judge mine too much until then… It’s hard though!! I do really love the shape of my nose.. Just hoping it narrows more and the tip gets smaller!! And this weird bump goes!! But I’m not even three weeks post op yet so have a long wait! xxxxxx

The bleeding does’nt sound right mine has’nt bled since the day of the op,I would get that checked out honey.xxx

I hated my nose at first as it was so fat. It has gone down a lot though, still looks quite wide (wider than before the op) I think where hes shaved the bump down it somehow got wider. Sof I know what you mean, I dont even really like my nose from the front, it looks like a wide blob lol, and he said when i saw him it will probably go down 1mm all over.. which means mine wont be going down much more.

And I had the bleeding at about 8 weeks called the nurse and she fobbed me off as it being “normal” then i completely forgot to ask Mr G about it when I saw him. It stopped and then has started again last week.. was bad this morning i swear a blood clot came out of my nose! Iv left a message for MYA again this morning, see if they bother to call me back.

Its a bit strange we all have these bumps though…I want to go back and see him about it. Im annoyed because he would have felt it when he felt my nose at the consult and he didnt say anything. All he said was “your nose is perfect, the most symetrical a rhinoplasty nose can be (I said i think its wonky)”!

Does anyone else have like 2 different profiles. My nose looks completely different from either side?? xxxx

Omg I feel like that!!! One side looks different to the other!! I like one side profile much better than the other one!! I thought it was just me looking at it weird… It’s so strange cos we notice things that other people can’t see when they look at you!!

My nose is really fat.. Bigger than before at the moment and I asked for it to be narrowed slightly at the bridge so was really hoping it would go down loads!! Really hope it does!!

I feel lucky I am able to breathe through mine,before the op I hadnt been able to for years,my profile looks different both sides but it did before my op ,I remember having a side where my pics were not too bad,still horrible but one side was better than the other pre op,its the same now,but Im happy,and my nose seems longer and slimmer and I have better lips,its mad,lol.I have a bit of a wonky smile but I had fillers in my lips a couple of weeks ago so that may be why,think there is more in one side than the other,but that’s another story,hope all you girls start to feel better soon,and I hope all the lumps and bumps are just swelling.xxx

Hi ladies, i haven’t had op yet but i did go for a consultation last year to see a different consultant, he mentioned to me that I had thin skin and that would maybe be a problem as it would show up irregularites, its just a thought but was skin texture ever mentioned to any of you ladies?

Yes honey he did mention that to me so Im prepared for lumps and bumps that may stay, because I have thin skin,if my lumps and bumps do stay,Im the one that sees them no one else, so I can live with that for the nose he has given me,I do love my result,xxx

Just wanted to add,that not everyone else will be happy with lumps and bumps but I really do believe you need to give it a year before you start to worry.xxx

Layla dont worry, mine at 3 weeks was monsterous from the front but has gone down loads now. if you have an email address message it to me and il send you some pics so you can see how much it goes down. Also about the breathing mine was fine at 5 weeks, from weeks 3-5 i could breathe but i felt like i couldnt get enough air in lol, so had to breathe through my mouth aswell. My breathing is 100% fine now apart from when i sleep i breath SO SO loudly!

I spoke to the nurse and she said the bleeding was because i clean my nose with cotton buds? does anyone else do this??? Im going to see dr G next friday to check. And i will ask about the bump then. Skin texture wasnt mentioned to me, i think i have quite thin skin though. I cannot live with a bump in my nose, as the whole thing was to get rid of the bump and it feels horrible!

Sof I dont think mine is going to go down, it prob will a bit at the tip but il just have to accept I have a fatter bridge now. xxx

Aww ok thats ok then.. im the same can get air in and out but not enough!! so hopefully will get better next couple weeks! Yeh when i do try and breathe through my nose it sounds terrible!

Hi girls, I’m almost 9 months post op. I have a slight dent on the top of my bridge. It’s where my nose has been broken and the bone has been repositioned, but you can’t see it, I think because you can feel it makes you more paranoid. I had a bump on the top of my bridge (at the end of the break) and also on the side nearer my eye socket for the first three months, but that’s gone now. The first three months are the most delicate stage so please don’t judge that as the end result.

The tip of my nose was pretty bulbous for 6 months and I still have have swelling in my tip. Even now, 9 months on, I still get comments from those that see me daily about how much it’s changed from when I first had it done, so it’s still changing! You need to give it a full year to see the end results.

As for the nose bleeds, I would definitely speak to the doctor as it shouldn’t be happening.

Good luck with your recoveries girls. It’s an emotional roller coaster, but you will feel better about yourselves, just takes a bit of time xx

Would you guys still recommend him? and Mya?

I would recommend Dr Gonschior,he is the best of the best as far as Im concerned,I have been on this forum for literally months logging in daily and yes you will see some negative posts,but when you consider the amount of people using MYA,99% of them delighted with the service and that’s only on the forum, imagine how many people have used MYA but not used the forum,I do truely believe you are choosing the best with MYA.Book now he is like goldust,xxxx

Yeah, out of all the surgeons i’ve looked up he has the most good reviews.

And I really like that he does so many nose jobs, a lot of the surgeons i’ve been recommended just do a bit of everything….which i find off putting.

That was the reason I liked him,he is so very experienced,and I really am so happy with my results,Im 12 weeks post op,he has a free appointment on the 8th March at 12 noon,Ive just cancelled mine,wont be able to make it,but im fine so very happy.xx

Row- Dr Gonschoir is great! You should go with him… Apart from all the swelling my nose is exactly what I asked for the slope and the size is just what I wanted and perfect for my face! He listened to everything I said even tho I changed my mind about things a few times and was worried that I hadn’t explained things wel.. But he seemed to know exactly what I meant!! And I have had the best experience with MYA not one problem through the process! All my appointments have been fine pc and hospital were great!! And I had a allergic reaction to the plasters (very rare) and even though it’s not really MYA’s fault they have been great checking on me and how it’s getting on got me back in to see a doctor and giving me stuff to treat it! So I’m very happy I went with MYA.

I’m nearly 3 weeks post op so I’ll add you and you can see my pics.. They are from as soon as the cast came off tho so very swollen but I will be updating them soon..

And honestly I had no pain at all!! The packing didn’t hurt just felt strange and is literally over in a second!! And post op your just very bunged up and have a sore throat so just make sure you have throat sweets!! And lots to keep you occupied!!

I had mine done years ago and i felt like i had a bump on the bridge of mine still, most of it was paranoya its the last thing that heals and will definately feel out of place but you will be fine xxx

I had open rhino with Mr G four weeks ago tomorrow, and I love it so much.

Like Layla I’m still breathing through my mouth, but it’s getting better every day, ESP when you consider how much was done…

I’m loving the fuss that’s made of me by friends and colleagues, I think my head has increased about ten fold with all the compliments xxx
