pissed off with MYA

Hii girlies..

I just feel like i need to have a rant lol..

I had my first consultation a week ago and i didnt like my PC at all so i rang up and asked to change.. Explained why and thay.

Next thing i know i get a phone call off the pc i complained about saying how shes been told by my NEW pc (the one i thought i could talk to and get on with) that ive been complainin about her.

Does anybody else think its wrong for the pc’s to be tellin each other stuff like that or am i just bein stupid lol. Really pissed me off tho xx

That’s a breach of patient/client confidentiality. What a complete joke. And how unprofessional of her to ring you! I think some Mya employees are very lacking in intelligence x

That’s not on! Sorry that’s happened to you fifx! I had loads of trouble with my pc too, I had my consultation in Liverpool (Where I’m at uni) but my surgery is going to be in London, and they lost all my information i’m still not on the system even though I’ve paid my deposit and have my surgery day booked! Bit dodgy. I hope you can get a nice pc who doesn’t bitch! xx

Utter boll0x – you have every right to be incredibly cross about this. I would be irate. I hope this hasn’t put you off your BA with MYA as they generally are a great company with fantastic surgeons. I had my BA in Feb and i’m so pleased with Dr K’s work – although my pc was utter rubbish, but i guess the surgeon and hospital staff are the the most important. My nurse was so lovely and i really felt she looked after me.

I hope you get an apology and are given the confidence to go with MYA.

Oh and im going to be there when you have your consultation with mr singh too cos i work closely with him. I mean i told her why i complained but i felt a right dick.. N dont wanna make it worse if i gotta see her again. But i had to have a little moan on here lol. N whats made it worse is wanda..(two faced one) semt so nice when i first spoke to her. X

Definitely a case to complain doll – they should not be talking about any “conversations” at all. Like Khanni said, it is confidential. Which ever branch this is i would be hanging my head in shame if i was the manager. Ask to speak to the manager and let them know exactly how you feel. You shouldn’t be made to feel like this just because you didn’t get the right vibe from someone and had the balls to speak up.

Who does she think she is lol ‘I work closely with dr singh’ well unless she’s a surgeons assistant or the anaesthetist she can make herself scarce. Call the main Mya number and complain, ask them to forward the complaint onto the manager at that particular clinic and if she rings you again, hang up on her. Personally I’d call wanda and give her a piece of my mind too, and a little education into the data protection act. Don’t let them make you feel like shit, your paying their wages hunn xx

It was at Nottingham. I might just go and see transform to be honest cos they have mr singh work for them too. So i think ill ring them. Cos cant even get app till june with my anyway and wanted them alot sooner!! XxX

The companys called enhance your body, you can get dr Singh through them plus top notch implants for well under 4K. I bet Mya hate me lol well I see all you girls here as my little mfi family and I lknow how stressful this whole process can be. Good luck Hunn xx

Really sorry to hear that. That is a huge breach of patient confidentiality-they should not discuss anything about patients, or what you disclose to them at all. You need to ensure that you the complaint is passed onto the supervisor/manager as they really shouldn’t let that happen, imagine what else they discuss? Doesn’t fill you with confidence does it?

thats really bad and really unproffesional of her to basically “pull you up” and yes that IS TOTALLY a breach of patient confidentiality, thats terrible and if that had happened to me id DEFINETELY be putting in a complaint or change to a different company…and like rose said what else could they have said about you? PLENTY not very good at all!

Fifi, go somewhere else. It’s not on. If you’re unhappy now, you may end up even more unhappy further down the line. Like me, who’s had their BA cancelled twice (once a week before surgery and once the day before surgery). And do I get any money back for that? No. x

In line with the regulations MYA has in place a strict complaints policy. Complaints are shared and discussed with all members of the staff involved to ensure a balanced and thorough investigation has taken place. It is important to MYA that we learn from any negative feedback and constantly try to improve our standards and service levels.

But for a pc to ring a patient thats not in her care and confront her about complaints is surely wrong and not allowed????

I hope then MYA also have in place a strict disciplinary procedure for staff who clearly breach patient confidentiality and act in an unprofessional manner.

MYA do have the right to inform Staff if they are not acting to the standards they expect then too, however MYA do not have the right to be patient specific. I am glad this never happened to me or the **** would of hit the fan. xx

and to MYA- do you think its ok for the PCs to talk about me directly and to ring me up.. because i really dont think that is ok.. and i will be making a complaint and i will also be going to transform.. so i can still have Mr Singh..

Maybe I will be treated with respect there seein as I will be giving them £3,850 of my money.

A member of the Senior Manager has tried to make contact so that they can understand the circumstances relating to your thread on the Forum. At MYA it is of great importance to maintain the highest standards of service and care and we feel it of great importance to understand and learn from the occasions when we haven’t met someone’s expectations. It’s Definately not on, I know they have to inform the pc that a complaint has been made but they should not say who by and the person the complaint has been made by should Definately not the have rang you and put you in an awkward position like that and make you feel uncomfortable about going back X

I am shocked to be honest in what you have experienced and am really glad you have posted on forum your experience as the treatment you have experienced I feel. is not what would be expected from a national company.

The comment from Mya moderator is correct in the fact that the clinic you attend are a team and as such discussion can take place without a breach of confidentiality HOWEVER the second person who you spoke to about issue should have passed your views to a senior member within the team and not spoken to the person directly unless as a means of understanding both sides of what occurred.

It is the clinics responsibility to be professional at all times and the phone call you recieved cannot be seen as professional or appropraite. You have every right to be annoyed at your treatment so far but maybe your post has highlghted a possible issue within that clinic and no one else will experience same level of unprofessional treatment as I am sure Mya strive to have a reputable reputation.

My expereince of Mya has been professional and positive however. it is good to hear the not so posutive real stories.

Oh my gosh tht is outrangous!!! They are definatly breaking patient comfidentiality here!! Yes the other PC should have been made aware a compliant had been made about her but not told who by!! and as for saying she’d be in on the consultation with Mr.Singh…she has no right!!! I wouldnt go with them at all after this…defo go with Transform or Mr. Singh directly not sure how you do tht though…maybe contact highgate hospital?? Hope all goes smoothly for you hun. Mr. Singh is a fab surgeon just a shame aboutthe awful conduct of these PC’s!! xx

I would shop around. Some of the surgeons at MYA work for other cosmetic surgery companies so if you’ve found a surgeon you like and MYA are letting you down, see if you can have them somewhere else. Although ultimately you are paying for the quality of the boob job, you are also paying for a decent service and you want to feel valued as one of their patients. It’s a lot of money to be parting with for them to be lousy xxx

Hi if you would like to go direct to mr singh i have his secretarys telephone number, you can still have ur op in london at various hospitals, I think you wold be better doing this rather than going through transform, and MYA should be writting to you with a very big sorry letter xxx

Hi – after care ! well i live 3hrs away, so i took my strapping off myself post 4 days, and removed tape PO 10 days, and going to see him 6weeks his PA called to see if everything was ok, which it was, and ive been very happy, with him ! if at any time i needed to talk they are there at the end of the phone,x

I went to dr singh directly.. He has his own surgery, enhance your body, he has a websites with all his contact details. It was my second ba and mya wanted to charge me 4700 and I wasn’t happy with pc.. but with dr Singh, it cost 3800. I told one of the girls here to do the same as mya was charging her 3900 day case so she got her deposit back and dr Singh charged her 3600.

Hospital and staff is well nice and professional.

After care is not the same as there is no pc. I am 16 days po. I was given instructions and took my own bandages off at day 4 po and day 10 po and seeing him week 6 po.

To be fair, that is normally how it works when you have it done.. The big companies hire out staff and add the little bits to make it more different. But they all cost more which is why you pay more. Xx

Also paperwork given says his happy to fix any complications free of charge but medical costs, up to a year. X

I agree with you ! why pay more for the same surgeon ! All the little extras you pay for !!and you get the same result at the end of the day !x

I forgot to mention, the hospital do call a few times to see how you are going and check up on you.. But like mazz said, dr Singh surgery is much more prompt and personal that they can be contact whenever. I even have his mobile if I need to contact him. They don’t look at you like a sales product and really do treat u like a patient, they don’t work like a business structure like mya, they work around you not the other way round. They are really flexible. Even though dr Singh does work for mya and supposing with transform or whatever, he puts just as much or even more focus on his own surgery as well xxx

I have heard alot about his own place. But i live in Nottingham so i doubt he would come up here for consultation.. I dont mind goin there for the opp cos i would need to go there anyway. But not just for a 30min chat.

I really dont know if to go ahead either way xxxxx
