Hiya I went with MYA and they only take swabs for MRSA if you have been in hospital in the last 6 months (don’t think this includes visiting but not 100% sure). I work in an operating theatre so had to be swabbed and they came back negative which was useful to know!
They are taken at the pre op appointment if needed, they are just long cotton buds and you do it yourself! One under the arms, one up the nostrils (tickles!), and one at the back of the throat (gag!). Results come back in a week and if positive then you just need a course of medication and a clear set of swabs before surgery can go ahead. Hope this helps! x x

Ah thanks hunni, I’m a full time mum and haven’t been into hospital in the last 6 months (lucky me) so that would be why i haven’t had them then. That helps loads and i can stop panicing now!! Thanks again, I hope your op went well and your loving your new boobies (assuming you’ve had them done already) x x x
