Since my 1st consultation with my PC I’ve problems with appointments. I got a call one hour prior to my scheduled time to tell me that my appointment had been moved forward by one hour, this usually wouldn’t be a problem if I had been given more notice but I had to travel nearly one and a half hours to get to the clinic. I felt very rushed and annoyed that they hadn’t let me know sooner… nether the less my boyfriend managed to get us there on time and everything seem to be going well, my PC took my details and told me about the operation, I was sure as ever that I wanted to go ahead with my breast enlargement.
I was under the impression when I left that I would be getting some sort of contact from my PC after this initial consultation to discuss the next set but to my disappointment I didn’t get any correspondence… I decided after nearly a month to call myself and tell MYA I would like to proceed. I booked my next appointment to see the surgeon, this all went well and so on that same day I booked the date of my op and paid the deposit (This was in November)
Apart from a letter to confirm the date, hospital and surgeon I once again didn’t hear anything from MYA. With everything “confirmed” or so I though I went ahead and made accommodation arrangement as Manchester is almost a 3 hour drive away from where I live. I managed to get a January sale deal for 3 nights, but part of the T’s & C’s was that it was non- refundable…
It was on this forum that I started to worry when I saw information that the Manchester Lifestyle Hospital I had booked for was closing down?! I was unsure what was true as I’m sure may others where. After a few days of waiting for an answer it was confirmed by the MYA Moderator that the Manchester Lifestyle Hospital was no longer being used.
I text my PC and asked if this would affect my scheduled date, she called me the next day to say that yes, my op would be at a different hospital and that unfortunately they could not confirm where yet but she would let me know as soon as possible. Although I was annoyed that I had to call her to find out I was just happy to be reassured that I hadn’t been forgotten about, I also told her that I has already booked a hotel 5 minutes away from the Manchester Lifestyle Hospital where I had been originally booked for! She once again reassured me and said that if the new hospital is to far away then MYA would cover the cost of any hotel costs lost from them having to change the hospital… I was advised to wait until I had been told which hospital I was at before doing anything about the hotel.
So once again I played the waiting game… 3 weeks past and I hadn’t heard anything I was starting to feel a bit left out as I saw many girls on the forum had already had their new hospitals confirmed, I text my PC again asking if there was any news, I was told no still but I would be told ASAP…
Hi JJ1989 we are unsure why the previous posts have not worked but we have seen this and we are going to look at this right away.
We do appreciate all feedback and we take all posts like this seriously.
Just to confirm that we have for many years now being working closely with the BMI Manchester Lifestyle Hospital but BMI no longer feel that this hospital fits their hospital portfolio. Being the largest private hospital group in the UK, with over 70 hospitals, we have had a choice of excellent alternatives but unfortunately the close of this was out of MYA’s control.
We apologise for any disruption this change of location may cause and someone form the senior management team will get in touch with you about this.
I’m chasing this as I posted the above on Thursday the 24th of February and I still haven’t been contacted by “senior management”…?

Hi JJ1989 – the day I replied to this one of the Senior Managers sent an email to you. She sent it to the email you signed up to the forum with. She emailed asking for your number as we only collect email addresses from the forum and from your username we cannot identify you or what clinic you belong to. Did you receive this email?
