Hi all
We would just like to reassure you that MYA only use the very highest quality Allergan manufactured implants that adhere to the strictest of medical checks and are not those currently in the media.
With 30 years of experience our chairman John Ryan is looked upon as a pioneer in the industry and has always preferred Allergan implants, these are by far the more prestigious implant manufacturer and are made from a better quality refined silicone but at MYA we pride ourselves on quality.
At MYA we are breast specialists this means working with the most experienced credible surgeons, specialist cosmetic surgery hospitals and selecting the highest quality implants.
We have always encouraged our patients to gather as much of the above information as possible about your procedure to make an informed decision about your cosmetic surgery provider rather than going for the cheapest option.
Patients considering surgery or patients whom have had surgery should be very confident and comfortable in what MYA offers.
There is no cause for concern, but if you’d like to discuss this further, your Patient Co-ordinator will be more than happy to help or please send me a private message if you need anything.

This post must be so reassuring for MYA patients, and new members researching their BAs.
Im so happy with my result from MYA, it gives me so much confidence! You always know you’re getting the best with MYA. I would recommend them to anyone! Thats why you should never go abroad ladies or make a decision on price alone! Best money ive ever spent! xx
hey can you help please moderator….. with all this pip implant worry i checked online and was reasured that mya do not use these implants but i am worried as i am under the impression that we all have allergn cui implants and i have just read on the internet that they are unapporoved implants!?! can you let me no wether this is true it said this….
“”””On the other hand, there is no reason why you shouldn’t go for the best, and ask for FDA approved implants: at the moment the only FDA approved silicone breast implants are the Allergan McGhan (NOT the Allergan CUI) and the Mentor implants”””
I hope the MYA is going to follow the GOV GUIDELINES ! Remove and replace PIP IMPLANTS ? I did not ask for poison to be put into my body , I trusted MYA. You have a duty of care to remove this poison and to give me what I was sold to begin with .A TOP CLASS IMPLANT THE WOULD NOT RUPTURE EVEN IN A CAR CRASH . You gave me a cheap toxic implant (no saving passed on to the customer) If I had a choice I would have paid more for the better product .
MYA lies! They do provide PIP implants and I have them! Are they going to replace them that is what i want to know!!!!!!!
You gave me a cheap made up INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH IMPLANT,the shit sacks that were used cost £100 not the usual £1,000 and myself & many professionals beleive you knew!?? If I had a choice I would have paid for the more expensive, better top quality implant but was not given the choice to do so, you are suppose to be the best cosmetic surgery business I think now is the time for you to LIVE UP TO THAT REPUTATION & REMOVE & REPLACE FOR FREE WITH BEST QUALITY PRODUCT WE ACTUALL PAID FOR!!!
Hi snipes87
Have you made contact with your clinic or spoken to your patient coordinator?
If you have not spoken to anyone I can get someone to call you back. Please see our statement below regarding our implants.
MYA Cosmetic Surgery launched in the UK in June 2007. Since 2007 our principal implant provider has been the American company Allergan who have an excellent clinical record. On rare occasions, we have used other implant providers but this has been in less than 1% of the surgical procedures that we have carried out. We take patient care very seriously and if any of our patients have any concerns then we can quickly offer them the support and reassurance that they need.
Yeah now I’m worried and only hve 7 days till my BA. Can I have my pc call me ASAP please to confirm my implants please. Worried!!!!! My pc is Hollie green
To miamigirls, you have nothing to worry about. Not sure what hospitals ever used them before them but if they had in past they defo won’t be using them. I know it’s prob really scary for you but no need to be. I have done alot of research and Mya seems yet to be the best of all. (should have opted for Mya 1st time round) having my 3rd ba to correct mine , so for me to opt here as my last op I put alot of faith in to them. Call your pc or private message Mya mod. And get the reassurance you need
) PIP implants have now been banned since 2010 in uk. Hope this helps xx
Thank you. My pc called and also reassured me. Just worried. Not good for people to post things like that jeez! X
