Hi girls. So I’m 7 days post op and I literally can’t take the pain in my back anymore. I’ve been up in the night soooo many times just because my back is aching and there’s nothing that makes it better 🙁 I’m up all night nearly in tears because I’m so frustrated and just want to sleep. It’s right at the top of my back like kind of Inbetween my shoulder blades. Can I sleep on my back now because I seriously can’t sleep at an angle any longer. I’m worried it’s the weight of my boobs and it’s never going to go away. I feel so tense and just want to sleep as I’m back to work tomorrow 🙁 please don’t tell me I’m the only one with this pain it’s unbearable xxx p.s I love my boobies but they’re are causing so much pain and hassle haha

My back is killing me, it’s making me really grumpy. Iv luckily got a massage device that you put on a chair, it helps a little but doesn’t get right to the top. I think itl get a lot easier when we can sleep normally again. Xxx

Well I changed out my sports bra and put a different one on but it still hurts. I think it’s the weight of the boobs and the sleeping at a awkward angle. When can I sleep
    On my back? Xx

I have exactly the same problem.. Pain in my back between shoulder blades! It’s horrible!!! I start off falling asleep in a semi upright position propped up with all my pillows but when I wake up I always seem to be flat on my back as I’ve slid down the bed in my sleep and getting up out of bed from that position is so painful and feels like my shoulders and back have seized up completely )-: can’t wait till I can at least sleep in my side again! Do you have any idea when you can sleep in side again?? Xx

I had the pain for days between my shoulder blades and it was air trapped from the operation. Take some over the counter trapped wind remedies and suck mints or have peopermint tea. As soon as I passed wind the normal way I was so relieved x

I asked about sleeping on my 1 week check.
She said to stay at a 45 degree angle for another week, then gradually move down to a flatter position.
I love to lay on my side though. Get so uncomfortable on my back. X

I think they say to keep it at 2 weeks like that, but I googled it at like 2 in the morning because I just could not sleep that particular night at loads of other surgeries companies were saying you could sleep on your side whenever you felt comfortable so I tried it and really just couldn’t bare the pain at all. It really hurt. I just had one night completely on my back and I slept so well.

I sleep on my back anyway. My surgeon told me it was fine. Xx
