Ooooh I want to know this too! My 3 year old shouldn’t need picking up but my 7 month old will need picking up once hubby goes back to work! xx

How long does your hubby have off Sammy? My Hubby is away to Ireland with work but my Mum is here till Monday, which will be 10 days PO but Im just so scared that I wont be able to pick my 10 month old up by then!

My 4 year old is fine, but still got to be really careful around him. I went in the other night as he was having a nightmare, and he accidentally headbutted me in the left boob….oh my god, it was so painful!! xx

Im on day 2 and so grateful to have my sister here to look after my little boy hes 3 and she also has her 2yr old with here!

Im not in pain but i’d have no chance of picking them up i cant even turn the tap on or flush the loo!! lol (mines a button)

I think it will defo be a week or two before im more active with them

Well hopefully he is going to be around for 2 weeks and then i’m hoping i’ll be able to pick him up then (but he is a little heavyweight!!). I know what you mean about the older ones, my big man is so energetic and always jumping on me so definitely going to have to dodge him lol. Ouch I bet that did hurt, poor you!

10 months hun…..and hes a BIG boy!!! Im just starting to panic that I wont be ready to get back to being 100% Mummy when I need to be xx

This is the one thing I’m really not looking forward to! I have a 1 and 2yr old and on my own just relying on my mum, Nan as friends to do a care rota!! Lol. I’m hoping I will recover quick!! xx

hey hun i have a 1yr old but my son was 10months old wen i had my op, i stayed with my parents for 2 weeks after my op and felt i could lift him by day 10, dont rush it tho hun, do wot u feel u can, it also depends whether ur having overs or unders, with unders it would be longer, i had overs so i healed pretty quick xx

Thanks girls, iv not decided on my date yet if i have it in Aug my little boy will be 6mths, not sure if its 2 early???

Im having Helena & she did advise to wait till 6mths after BF. Ive heard different of dif people some say 3 & 4mths??

If i do have them Aug that will only b 4 mths after i stopped feeding. Just i also have an older son who will be off school on hols, so would be easier with him & my hubby will have 2 wks off then with me. Really dont know what to do?? i know i should really wait. hiya i have got a 5yr old and my youngest is 10 months and i had unders 2 weeks ago today i have been managing to pick my youngest up since about day 5 but was just really carefull, and i find it quite easy now u will know when u r ready just don’t push yourself xx

Just seen this hopefully I’ll be ok as well I have a nearly 3 year old n nearly 2 yr old. Can get very clingy at time my near 3 yr old she is solid!!! so heavy! The other is catching her up

i was doing it all on my own by day 9 prob shouldn’t have been but sometimes these things can’t b helped but i just took extra care and tried not too pick her up if i could help it, there is no point in rushing yourself if u have got the help there chick so dun feel bad xxx

Im day 6 also, and i have a 3 year old little lady, i know that im AGES off being able to pick her up, but it is KILLING ME! I miss my cuddles and pick ups. Im so bored of her asking me ‘are you still poorly mummy?’ and having cuddles around my head rather than body, (she seems happy to cuddle my head if i kneel down) :)xxx

I’m not looking forward to not having cuddles either but in a few weeks when we have all healed properly, we can have endless cuddles and we’ll have lovely boobies too…happy days! Bet I won’t be this positive next week once i’m post op lol xx

Aww Claire, thats awful babe. You poor thing. I hope you start to feel better really soon. Have you felt this bad from day one, or do you feel like you have got worse? Do you still have someone to help you at home? Sending lots of love hun. xx

av pretty much felt like this from day one… nurse says cos my figure is so tiny with not a pik of fat on, its a major shock to my body etc… iv just gotta ride it out…. yeah my friend is staying to help out as my partner works.. iv onli been out the house 3 times for no more then a hr cos i cnt hack it…. im sik of being laid up hun.. they think its the internal brusing starting to come out now.. i thurt i wd be ok iv got a realli high pain threashold but this has realli knocked me for 6.. not helped by a reaction to the ga.. xx

Babe, i know exactly what you mean. I thought having 2 kids with no pain relief would have prepared me for anything…….boy, was I wrong. The day after my op, I actually said to my husband Id have preferred to have given birth 10 times over than feel the way I did.

I have got better tho, but am still really surprised at how sore I am. They say go back to work after a week!? Id be in bits if I thought I had to go back to work on monday.

awh thank u huni… that was me 4 kids with no pain relief, all breastfed and had mastitis twice and still managed to breastfeed, i realli thurt this was gonna be a walk in the park… hope ur feeling better soon huni xx

hey ladies i had my op 4 weeks ago. i had an uplift too. i was back to pickin my 9mth old up at 2 days post op. but iv been really lucky and avnt had much pain or restrictions with lift my arms at all. it all depends on how high your pain thresh hold is and how your body heals xx

Hey girls,I’m 6days po with a 3 n 1 year old.THis was the one thing I was worried about as my baby is so clingy,and heavy.To be honest Iv been picking him up here n there when I feel I really have to from straight after I came out.Only little lifts like in n out bath or car seat.I no you shunt really but it’s not their little faults.Even if they have sucked the life out of you n given you spaniels ears,lol.

My surgeon(Singh) told me il no what I am n am not capable of doing,n I feel ok.Just don’t be lugging them around on your hip all day,well,they’ll only be covering your new assists.joke,I love my kids,honest.lol.xxxxx

Hehe!! I love my kids too but they have stolen my body and now left me with a real dodgy one!! Lol!! I think I’m just going to listen to my body, it will tell me when I’m doing too much xx

I’m ok thanks luv,saw scars,I’m going for 1 week check 2mora.I can’t wait for her to say there ok,hubby’s actualy offered to take me last min,which my mate was gona do.u ok.xx
