Possible infection? Help!

Hi! So I’m about 3 weeks post op and so far everything has gone great. Then today I noticed a small area at the T junction where the skin seems to have come away slightly and it a little bit gooey… I’m so worried as the clinic isn’t open again til Monday. Has anyone else had this? Or am I worrying over nothing? Any help would be great x

Hi hun, I think I’ve got the same at the very bottom of my lollipop scar but a bit smaller of an area. White colour is a good sign as it’s just the antibodies protecting the open wound. I wouldn’t worry too much, as worst case scenario you can just get some antibiotics as a precaution from the clinic. I covered mine with a spare dressing I had and going to mention it to the nurse at my appointment next week. Try not to worry and contact them on Monday, hope all is well! X

Definitely I was exactly the same! But then most of the time we worry about things we don’t need to worry about haha ? xx

Had it checked and they’re confident it will heal in a few weeks! Feel so much better now ive seen the nurse and it’s all bandaged up haha x
