    Hello ladies

I’m about to start my labiaplasty and hoodectomy journey soon. I’ll use this thread to update my journey for those who might find it useful. I wanted to know if anyone else had any words of advice they could offer? What did you buy for your healing process or anything you’d recommend? If I come across anything I’ll add in this thread too x

Hey Jen, I had mine done last Friday with dr mileto, i just had the labia minora done, and it’s been amazing! It is nothing like I expected, I was so scared that I was going to be in huge amounts of pain that I couldn’t walk or wee but I can do all of that, I had a uplift at the same time so I can’t really feel the labiaplasty most of the time, I don’t know if I’m incredibly lucky or dr mileto is just a genius probably both lol, I’ve been wearing full nickers with panty liners because i am still bleeding slightly, the nurses suggested canisten but I haven’t used anything on it and it feels just fine, sometimes when moving about I can feel it and when i wee i can feel it but it doesn’t hurt its just an odd sensation, i haven’t gone outside yet and i take the nickers off at night to sleep in loose shorts, so really just take it easy, good luck I hope it all goes well for you 🙏🏽 xx

Hi Nadine, thank you so much for sharing! My surgery will be with him too, I’ve seen he’s done a lot and has good credentials so I’m glad it’s with him. Thank you for your advice! I was gonna get some men’s boxers, I find them comfy anyway but I think I might go for full on granny knickers, the best ones 😂

Just a bit nervous because I don’t usually do well with a lot of pain. My job is a little bit active it depends on the day, maybe I need a bit more than seven days off? Im not sure but I’ll be able to fingers all that out. Thank you for sharing again! 🥰

    Update

I had my physical consultation and met my surgeon. He was really nice and answered any questions I had. Was told I’d be going home with painkillers after the surgery. In preparation I think I’ll go and get a few pairs of men’s boxers just for room and some ice packs to help with the swelling. I’ll be sure to update this soon with any information I think could be useful

Looking through other threads I’ve compiled a short list of information I found which I think other ladies will too.
Thank you to everyone on the subject that’s shared details and experiences!

As I’m coming from another city I booked s stay in London for three days; before the surgery, day of and day after. The hotel I went for Isn’t too far from the hospital so can walk there and get transport back. I managed to get a hotel room that included drinks, food and snacks (London can be expensive as we know!) so I’d be recovering in my room after discharge.

For transport I will either be purchasing a first class ticket or a coach for extra room when travelling home.

Some extra pain killers with me just in case needed as well as sanitary towels for bleeding and some instant ice packs for the swelling. I’ll be bringing a water bottle with me with a nozzle to help stinging using the toilet.

I’ve seen and been told that there can be a few waiting periods when you get to the hospital so will bring a book or some entrainment to keep me busy just in case.

For post op prep I went for two weeks off work as my role is quite active. I’ve got some loose fitting men’s boxers and full briefs.

I’ll probably end up adding more to this closer to my surgery date. Excited but nervous at the same time 🙈

Has anyone needed a pillow to sit on after the surgery? I’ll be having a labiaplasty and hoodectomy so think I’ll be really sore down there. If anyone else has advice please share! I may make a separate thread about my experiences.

    Thank you x
