Post op 295cc from 32A…feeling disappointed :(

Hey all, I’m new to posting on the forum but I’ve been lurking 😆 I think I need a bit of reassurance from people who’ve been through the same, I guess… I had a BA 12 days ago with another company and I’ve got 295cc high profile unders. I looked into MYA which is why I know about here but there isn’t a hospital near where I live and I didn’t fancy the travel cos I didn’t know how I would feel afterwards.

Anyway, I’m size 8, 5ft2 and about 8 stone so quite petite, and I was a 32A pre-op. I wanted my boobs to look natural and proportionate for my body. I didn’t go into it thinking of an exact implant size I’d like cos I had confidence that the surgeons would advise me and given me their professional opinion. The company I went with wouldn’t really talk about what cup size I could expect after the BA, as they said if I was happy with how it looked then it didn’t matter which is fair enough.

The surgeon took all my measurements, felt my skin tone etc. and pretty much gave me the choice of 265 or 295. I tried the gel sizer things on in the sports bra beforehand (I also did the rice test at home and tried some clothes on), and compared to what I had I thought I would be happy if the 295s looked like that. I asked at the time whether these were accurate or would they look a bit smaller when they were in but he said they should be about the same…

Just to check I also went back and tried the next size up, 325, and they didn’t look that much different to the 295s. The surgeon thought I’d have a better long term result with the 295s cos I’m young and haven’t had children so my skin is tight, and he thought there would be less chance of rippling and stretching the skin and pocket too much, as the 325s are a bit wider for just 1mm more projection. So I agreed with that and went ahead with the op.

From day 1 PO I’ve been really disappointed and upset with the results. I woke up from the anaesthetic and my first thought was “have they done it?!” cos they didn’t look that different looking down at the gown! They don’t look as big as the rice test or the sizers under clothes…

I would say I’m currently a small 32C which is obviously different to what I started off with but when I wear clothes I still look quite flat chested and not proportionate with my hips and thighs, so it’s really not what I wanted. This might sound silly but I don’t know if I’ve had any swelling or not – I’ve been the same size since the op and not sure how long it would take to come up or go down again?? I’ve had no bruising so far either.

I’m in my mid twenties and I’ve thought about getting this done since I was a teenager when I knew there was no hope they would grow anymore! I just feel like I’ve spent so much money and gone through the discomfort and I’m not going to feel much better about myself. I know it’s still early days and they will change a lot as the weeks and months go on cos they’re still quite high and tight and the left and right look slightly different, but I can’t see them getting any bigger.

I’m trying not to compare too much with other people cos I know it varies so much, but I’ve seen so many people on here with similar stats as me getting bigger implants and I’m sure they look great. I can’t help regret I didn’t get more opinions pre-op in case the ones I saw were being conservative (there’s nothing I can do about this now I know so I’m trying just deal with my current situation!)

So I was just wondering if there is anyone who has had roughly the same starting size and implant sizes as me that I could talk with, like to get an idea of what sizes you ended up, how long it took for them to drop etc. maybe just to put my mind at rest a bit. Anything would be appreciated.

Happy healing babe as I’ve been told u gotta be patient babe I had unders and still not happy 10 weeks post -op don’t forget they fluff babe so they will get bigger also u haven’t seen ureself with boobs and u r very tiny give ureself a few weeks as its still early days x. Xx

I had 415cc overs and i think im small!!!!! I am in my twenties and have longed for this since my teenage years too so i totally understand how you feel.

Everyone is different so 415cc may look smaller on me but bigger on the other girl because our body frame is different!

For mine to drop it took 3 weeks the left one is still a bit high and recovering alot slower than the right one, once they drop you will definately see a difference, remeber you are petit so you dont want BIG boobies pulling you over it sounds like your surgeon has given you ones that really will/are going to ajust to your body and look FAB!

We all feel this way its a procedure that can be rehersed so many times we feel we can take advantage of it – i hope this helps please speak to your surgeon if you feel so upset about it. Xox

I’ve had 295 overs and think mine look tiny from the sides… My op was on Monday so v early days but I’m not sure if overs even change… xx

I know I really need to be patient, when I went into it I knew it could take months to see the final result especially being unders it’s just hard when you see yourself in the mirror, etc. I was really upset the first week cos I thought if this is them when they’re swollen and I think they look small imagine what they’ll be like when it goes down… But so far they haven’t got smaller, so fingers crossed they won’t. I don’t want to get my hopes up that they will look bigger when they fluff in case they don’t, so I’m trying to accept the size will be the same but they will hopefully change into a better shape and soften that I’ll be content with.

In a way it’s reassuring to know that there are other people in the same kind of situation who haven’t come out of it being immediately happy with how they look. I’m sure everyone’s looks great to other people, maybe it’s just some of us find it hard to see in ourselves!

I saw my surgeon two days ago when I got my dressings off and he doesn’t seem the most sensitive of people to deal with the emotional impact of it lol. He was just like you’re healing fine, everything seems normal, they will change from how they look now, and he still seems confident it’s the right size implant for me and not to have gone bigger. So let’s hope he knows his stuff!

@fairyxx I know, I think you are right! My boyfriend said I would complain no matter what happened or how they looked, like I would either say they were too big and fake looking, or not big enough! What are your starting and finishing sizes? I’ve accepted you so I can get a rough idea of how things might change, thanks.

@hollybol what size did you start from? I don’t really know much about overs cos I always thought they would have to do mine under the muscle so I’ve mainly researched that. I’m sure the other girls can advise you how they change though.

was a 32aaaa and now a 30ff/32f but only look a C cup xx

fairyxx I’ve just had a look at your pics, they look amazing! You looked slightly smaller pre op than me, and they look don’t look false or out of proportion. You’re a lot taller than me though so you can probably pull off a bigger implant better. I would say you look at least a D/DD cup and definitely don’t look small, but it depends on the look you had in mind beforehand. Do you have any rippling or anything? Really wish I had shopped around more to see if I had chance to go a bit bigger now! x

And Candyfloss you are still very early days hun, give it time, they will change loads i promise. It takes a while for them to drop and settle and then they will look lots bigger xx

dont worry hun they will change so much more yet, for weeks! the skin has to like stretch and eventually relaxes abit around the implant, n the swellin goes down so they look alot fuller n rounder, give em time i hated mine for the 1st 3-4 weeks, even my bf said to me they was small! & he deffo doesnt think that anymore xx

wow really I had 300cc so only 5 cc smaller than me and im f/ff I had overs but mine are massive I had tape off today and am hoping some of it is sweeling as really big lol im happy with mine would not go any bigger x

heather119, what size did you start off at though? I’m guessing much bigger than me!

I’m guessing overs tend to look a fair bit bigger compared to unders for the same size implant? Overs was never really an option for me cos the surgeons thought I wouldn’t have had enough tissue and you’d be able to see the edge of the implant and I wouldn’t have wanted that.

I really hoped after I had the BA I wouldn’t have to wear padded bras anymore but I’m not sure that will be the case! Does anyone find they look much better when you can wear normal bras under clothes and not the sports bras? Cos I don’t think they’re the most flattering of things.
