post op advice needed please girls

i went for my 1st post op check today only to be told i should never have been booked in the receptionist had made a error as the nurse was off today and could i come back tomorrow.

i exsplained that i live 50miles away and am back in work and wouldnt be able to come untill next tue, i got told that werent good enough, i was tamping at this point, then she said there was a nurse there but she wasnt a wound nurse but she’d take a look. she took my dressings off said all looked well and that i could shower, didnt really answer my concerns about my swelling or pain in breast.

so do you think i should put dressings back on untill i go and see the right nurse next week, also i was doing great untill today but my left breast has gone really sore to touch is at least a cup size bigger than the right, is this normal?

and im also getting shooting pains.

feeling really down now coz i was doing so well, plus ive got to be back in work tomorrow and now dont know if im ready.

If you dont feel ready for work hun,put a weeks self cert in,some of the girls have experienced the same as you,sound like one breast is a little more swollen than the other,cant you speak to your nurse on the telephone to put your mind at rest,at least if you speak to her you wont be worrying for a week,xxx

I would say no need to put the dressings back on if the scars are okay. I would call a nurse tho just to put ur mind at ease

Ive got my one week post op check tomo, hope the nurse is bloody there! lolx
