Post op advice & waiting list for surgery date

I have quite a physical job ( at the airport escorting elderly / disabled ) so always lifting a case or pushing a chair..I’m worried about how much time I’ll need off bcos of the obvious reasons…being unpaid! Just wondered how people got on in reguards to going back to daily routine?

Also how long is the waiting list to get surgery date booked after your consultations? Can it be done after your first or ?
