    Hi everyone,

Was wondering if anyone could advise. I am researching into undergoing a potential breast lift (without implants) with Mya and searching these forums for as much information about the process, results, after care etc.

In particular, I am really concerned as to what Mya’s post op care is like? I am extremely anxious about getting this surgery and the potential risks/complications and I want to be reassured that my hand is literally held by the Mya team the entire step of the way, including during the recovery / healing process (whether that is 1 week or 6 months!) How accessible and helpful are the patient co-ordinators post-op? How accessible is your surgeon in case of emergencies, wounds, infections etc.?

I have an e-consultation booked for tomorrow and intend to ask this question however, I dont want to be sold a dream in order to get my money and then left to my own devices once the surgery is over.

Please can you lovely ladies who have been through the surgery process let me know what your experience was like with Mya after the surgery?

    Thanks x

Hi Tee, I had my breast surgery Tuesday 10th so 3 and half days post op and I have had no communication from the MYA team. My last telephone call was with the nurse on 12th December 2022 a month before my surgery, hope this helps. Alexandra

Hi I had my breast surgery on the 16th December and discharged the following day. I had a nurse from MYA call me on the 19th to check that I was ok and I then went in to see the nurse on the 23rd and 30th December who changed my dressings and checked everything was ok. She made a further online appointment on the 7th January to again check all was well. I have a followed up appointment now booked at 6 weeks end of January. My surgeon is Anna De Leo and she has been fantastic very reassuring, she came to visit me the evening after my surgery and the morning after before I was discharged. I was given details on to get in get in touch with a nurse and Anna in case of an emergency or if I just needed some reassurance. I have to say I have been very impressed so far with the care I have received. Hope this helps. The nursing team I have dealt with have been based at Birmingham.

    Hi Alexandra,

I’m sorry to hear that – have you tried to make contact with aftercare nurses or do you have any upcoming / scheduled appointments arranged?

Also, was your surgery and aftercare team based in London? I think mine will be, my PO is Natalie Mercer from the london clinic.
Hope you’re recovering well and therefore lack of contact with the Mya team isnt too much of a problem! xx

    Hi Sally,
    Thanks for this.
This aftercare certainly sounds more promising and supportive, I hope the London nursing team and my PO will give me the same treatment if I choose to go ahead x
