I am now nearly 5 weeks post-op and feel very low can’t really say why but seem to winge at the smallest thing, not really had alot of support as i think those around me feel i chose to have the operation it was not thru an illness just for myself , but my husband has been fab he must be fed up of listening to my winges, also had a few complications after the op and had to return to theatre so still not confident with my new boobs hopefully in time i will get better , has anyone else had these feelings ? x

    Hi Sue

I thought i’d just offer a bit of support and tell you that I went through exactly the same thing.

I’d read the forum and see so many woman writing how happy they were and how much pain they weren’t in and it would depress me even more. they’d all rave about being able to wear low cut tops 2 weeks after the op and washing their own hair etc. I was so jealous.

I had my BA on 4th June and for around 6 weeks after, I felt very fat and the slightest thing would hurt me. Plus I cried at everything.

My family and partner weren’t supportive either, they all thought that cos I’d had it done for my own personal reasons that I didn’t need help.

Anyway, I’m now almost 12 weeks post op and I’m wearing 34E bra’s and low cut tops and I no longer feel like a huge balloon lol. I’m still experiencing some pain in my nipples and occasionally around my scars but overall I’m fine.

I hope this helps you a little xxx
