post op bras! and when to get measured?

How strict have you all been on wearing these? I’m going away 8 weeks after my op and would love some beautiful underwear… My friend said she was a little naughty and stopped wearing once she felt comfortable. Also, you see these celebs that have their boobs done and don’t see them strapped down in post op bras and covered up?? Do you generally wear the post op bras and if a night out comes up, put a nice bra on? Also, when did you all get measured?

I didnt wear a nice bra until I was 6 weeks post op,then I could’nt wait to get back and put my sports bra back on for comfort,lol,Most people wait until the 6 weeks to get measured,but your breast can still alter up to a year after BA,best to just keep checking so that you are wearing the right size bra.xxx

how long are you suppose to wear your post op bra for? i got told 9 weeks?

I was told 6 weeks but it is 2 years since my op,and things change honey,always follow the instructions that have been given to you by your surgeon.xxx

ive been told 6 weeks, and most girls on here get measured at 6 weeks and into the nice bras! Did your nurse tell you 9 weeks? xx

it was at my consultancy, after i saw the consultant and then went in to see the advisor?? who answered all my questions. but, i see the nurse tonight so i will be taking a list of questions with me lol

Mr Adamo advises his patients not to wear any bra!?! hope I heard this right, he only puts tape over the scars straight after op as well…..however I will be purchasing a couple of Macom bra’s I think x

I think it depends on the surgeon girls,they all have their own methods and post op instructions based on their surgery,I had overs,and had to wear a bra immediately,I have known people with unders just wear a breast band and no bra,some have had to wear both,in any case I think the post op dressings are tailored to the individual,by each surgeon.You will need a post op bra eventually,so I would get one or two anyway.xxx

I had overs with Mr Singh and was told to wear a sports bra for 6 weeks x

will the nurse give me recommendations and what bra to buy? Also, how do you know what size to buy for after surgery?
