Post-op girls?

Hi girls! I had my ba 12 days ago and had a fabulous experience and delighted with the results. Just wondering when you have your first post-op with your surgeon. I’ve not seen mine since pre-op at hospital to be drawn on and was told 1 week post-op from the nurse that I wouldn’t see him til 12 weeks post-op. Is that normal? Just wondering as I’ve read posts on so fem where the girls are seeing their surgeons again 1 wk post-op.

I had Mr Traynor at Manchester Lifestyle and I was sure I was supposed to see him again at 6 weeks but the nurse said 12 weeks. Who did you have and where?

hi debbichick, i had Mr Chantrastack and havent seen him since before my op. im 6 weeks next week and was told ill see him at my 3month check xx

im getting on welll ive not had to take any pain killers today im so happy with mine just cant wait to not have to wear a sports bra got a good few weeks yet tho! hows u? xx

Healing well, I think! Just got some dermatix scar sheets today from a girl that sells the on so fem so hoping they’ll help healing too. I’m really pleased with the scars though! They’re tiny and so neat. Saw them for the first time 10 days post-op when I removed the steri-strips and I was really happy. Sure you will be too when you c yours!

Can’t wait to get lovely new undies soon!

aww thats good cos im worried about my scars i will get to see them on wednesday night as im having my dressings off, how many weeks are u post op now? its my 21st in 4 weeks do u think ill be fine to go out into town? im hoping so, its killing me being stuck in tonight as i go out every weekend without fail xx

I’m 2 weeks post-op now and feeling pretty much fine now. Boobs still feel a bit numb at the bottom but other than that great. I think you’ll defo be well enough for your 21st! Do your friends know you’ve had the op? Just thinking you don’t want people hugging you too tight or knocking ur new assets if they don’t know about it! You might have to say you’ve a sore arm or something so that they’re careful near you!

hey yeh i told quite a few people im now wishing i hadnt but never mind! yh hopefully ill be able to have a good night out, ino cant wait to see my scars hopefully there not too bad! I’m having to go shopping today as im back at uni this week and have no tops that are button / zip up! how long was it until you could lift your arms up fully? ino it may seem a silly question but how did you wash your hair with out getting your boobs wet? xx

I still feel a bit cautious about lifting my arms however I did wear tops over my head carefully after about 4 days. Just be careful not to stretch out too much!

I decided to go to the hairdresser’s for a wash and blow dry twice in the first week, then my husband washed it over the bath at 9 days p.o when I felt able to hold the hairdryer lol. I socked the steri-strips off in the bath no soap 10 days p.o and then had first proper shower and washed my hair 11 days p.o. Just made sure the shampoo went down my back.

the hair dressers sounds like a plan but im back at work tomorrow and the hair dressers arent open on a sunday! im goin to give it a go tonight over the bath and my mum wash my hair shes more worried than me bless her, yh im feeling fine not had to take any pain killers just took one paracetamol just so the pain doesnt come back, im going to try put over the head tops on today aswel cos im sick of wearing my mums button up shirts ive not been out the house yet im sick of bein sat in haha xxx
