Hi Leah..
i haven’t had my BA yet (17TH MARCH EEEKK!!) and im also worried about returning back 2 work.
i have booked 2 weeks off but i feel this wont be enough as im having unders . i work as a healthcare Ast and work 12 hour shifts (8am-8pm) and am on my feet all day!!! its hard-work on a normal let alone just having new booobies. I told my manager and she said that i wont get any sympathy and i will not be put on lighter duties as its surgery through VAINITY!! i was soo upset and hoped 4 support from my manager.
xx
We do the same job hun !! And 2 weeks won’t be enough if your duties are anything like mine ! My mangers are a bit more supportie and they have moved me 2 a lighter unit but still dreading it ..I had overs gun but had a nippe
Lift 2 ..I would defo try and get a big more time off if u can xx
its so tiring being a HCA but i love it
im guna try and get another week off as i don’t want 2 do anything that can hurt my new boobies, just after getting them done and paying all that money!! i need 2 get a doctors note and then shove that in my managers face hahaha its not fair how she can act like that… its surgery at the end of the day and she should support our individuals choice arrrghh
hope its not 2 bad 4 u @ work xx
I no
good luck hun ! Me 2 ..it’s snowing so I might not be able 2 get in haha xxx
hahaha:) ive added u hun… Take care xxx
claire1001 – I’m in shock that your Manager can make a comment like that, makes my blood boil!! regardless of whether the surgery was elective or not as your Employer they still have a duty of care to provide to you, if you feel that you are not able to do certain things after the op they should still accommodate that x
So true ..I’m waiting to see how I’ll be treated .. I’ve skerry Sid to them I cant do much I’m not risking it for my boobies lol some people are so un thoughtful ! Xx
i no missy i cried after i spoke 2 her and all my work mates were shocked!! shes very old fashioned in the way that she thinks.. atleast i got good work collegues that will help out xxx
