Post op girls… Anyone got the implant?

Hi,

I’m 2 months post op and haven’t had a proper period since the operation.

I’ve had the implant for 5 years and have asways been really regular – has anyone else had this problem? I’m worried it could have long term effects if I keep it in.

ive got implant and had op last week…i told loadsa ppl thru the process about it and every1 said it would be fine! …daft q prob but have u changed it in the 5 yrs coz they only last 3yrs? ive had it in a couple of times and go thru phases of havin no periods for a few months then havin one constant then they go regular, wierd! xx

yeah lol I had it put back in last January.

thank you thats good to know, ill give it a few more months before i see the doctor – I should have asked at my 6 week check up really.

if ur really worried id jst call them..thts wot they r there for! but i think its prob just with the anistetic n everythin it slows stuff down..mayb periods jst havnt caught up x

I have had the implant in for 2 years and i still bleed every so often! Sometimes heavily like a period and other times, just spotting. Its normal hun xx

I have had it only a month or so but was told it can make you to ally irregular. I’ve not really bled yet. However if you’re worried, check with your nurse to put tour mind at ease Hun x
